Student editing on Wikipedia

@Iheartelectrophiles: Students who are required to edit Wikipedia have a mixed record here, so be careful. Consider these suggestions:

• rely on high quality secondary and tertiary references per the guidelines WP:SECONDARY and WP:TERTIARY. What this advice means is that you should only cite reviews and books. Virtually anything else will be removed.
• if you anticipate a major revision, announce your ideas/plans on the talk page of the affected article. if you have questions, leave them on the Talk page of the affected article. Experienced editors can help.
• Usually it is a good idea to make changes incrementally.
• Do not worry at all about formatting, experienced editors will deal with those trivialities. Focus completely on super-high quality content.
