editI've added the link you have suggested and given you some useful links above to help you. In particular, the guidelines that we use for External links may be seen *here* for future reference. Many "regular" Wikipedians are still on vacation for the holidays and your post may have gone un-noticed. Thank you for the contribution...I hope you decide to stay and look around, enjoy editing, and if you need any help, feel free to ask. Happy New Years!

Re: Black History Month
editHi Joe, I don't have much involvement with the Black History Month article at all. A few days ago, I was checking the contributions of a user who was adding his/her blog to articles about African Americans in Wikipedia (the blog just contained capsule biographies, and often the Wikipedia articles were far more detailed, thus rendering the blog links useless). I checked the history of the article and discovered that it had been subject to quite a bit of vandalism that had never been undone, like this example. I semi-protected the article to reduce the risk of bad edits and undid the vandalism, and then left the article alone, because I don't have any interest in developing it further. In other words, I would never have noticed your external link addition unless you'd pointed it out to me.
I'm afraid I've had to remove the external link, even though it is a very good one, because, as you've noted, it's linked from the Library of Congress website in the "For teachers" and "Educational resources" sections. In Wikipedia, We try to minimise the number of external links (point 3).
After noticing that your lihnk had been removed as a side effect of this edit, and inspired by a link to the UK Black History Month that was removed in that revision, I added a link to Black History Month sites from the UK and Canada to the current version of the article. I think one link per country, as it is now, is the fairest solution; there are now three links, but each one provides something different.
Also, as a person associated with EDSITEment and/or the NEH, you shouldn't be adding links to the site directly because you have a conflict of interest. It'd be better to suggest links that you want to add on the article's talk page. When adding new messages to talk pages, please use the new section link next to the "edit this page" link and sign your messages with four tildes like this: "~~~~".
