Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. Here's some tips:
- You can introduce yourself on the new users page.
- You can sign your name using three tildes, like ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
- Remember to use the show preview button before you save a page.
- If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page.
Other useful pages are: how to edit, how to write a great article, naming conventions, manual of style and the Wikipedia policies.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Angela. 03:25, Apr 17, 2004 (UTC)
Hello
editHi there, it's nice to have more people helping with Korean topics. I'm sure you've already found Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(Korean) and List of Korea-related topics. Welcome to Wikipedia! Kokiri 09:52, 22 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Just a small note of caution
editWhen you added a paragraph to Our Party, you also removed a paragraph (accidentally, I assume.) I've restored it. Here's the diff. Please be careful when adding information not to remove other text without meaning to. If you have any questions about this or other things about Wikipedia, feel free to comment below or speak to me on my Talk page. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia, and welcome! new Portal:Korea
editUser:Visviva has worked hard to create a brand new Portal:Korea. Please take a look & contribute if you can. I think the new Template:Korea topics has the potential to be a more useful reference tool than categories or lists, if editors continue to expand and update it. It's also a good reminder for help & requests on ye olde notice board. Hopefully, this will help revive some activity all around. Appleby 22:15, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
Lee Ho and Zenit
editHello. I've read the article you've linked to. However, let's not take Advocaat's word for that. So far, Zenit have announced only signing of Kim Dong-Jin.[1] Apparently the contract with Lee Ho is not yet signed, he's not in the squad yet.[2] Conscious 10:05, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Never mind, the transfer has been announced. Conscious 15:22, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Korean cuisine
editIt's good to have another editor here with expertise and interest in Korean cuisine. Now that you explained that gaesoju doesn't have any alcohol (confusing for a non-Korean), I added it in Korean cuisine. Why is "myeon" not in the name of the seafood version? It always appears on menus as simply "jajangmyeon" when it has seafood, not with the name you mention. Badagnani 08:25, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
I think an explanation of those variant names should be added, for maximum clarity (especially for non-Koreans, who wouldn't necessarily understand some of the alternate names). Badagnani 08:36, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Your substitution of chunjang for jajang is confusing, as the jar I have says (in hangul) jjajang, not chunjang. Can you please explain it somewhere? Badagnani 08:37, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Oh, I think I see--there's no Chinese zhajiang nor Korean jajang/jjajang because it means "fried sauce." OK, now I want the hangul/hanja for chunjang. Badagnani 08:45, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, 春醬 is what I found doing a Google search. Hanja can be very difficult to find on the Internet but a good dictionary usually has the hanja and etymology. Some editors don't want hanja used but I feel it can provide a good etymology. That would mean "spring sauce," which doesn't make much sense. Badagnani 08:52, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
