I totally agree with the need to place the history of abolitionism as the first, and main, part of the article. However in reordering the article, there are a lot of other sections that should be shortened, consolidated with sections covering the same period, or eliminated.
IMO a major problem with the substance of the article is the confusion between abolitionism and antislavery. The very first sentence in the article is very clear, "Abolitionism (or the Anti-Slavery Movement) in the United States of America was the movement which sought to end slavery in the United States immediately, active both before and during the American Civil War.
