Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, website, or role, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. If you are having trouble, you may want to try using the unblock wizard.

Before requesting a new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the edit. Mfield (Oi!) 23:00, 3 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

OnEurope is my own website. I am not paid or otherwise compensated for making Wikipedia edits.

I understand why I was blocked. I created the account using the name of my website without realising that this violated Wikipedia's username policy, and I then edited existing citations linking to that website. I understand that, even though my intention was to repair dead citations after the site's move from oneurope.co.uk to oneurope.net rather than to add new promotional links, my connection with the website creates a conflict of interest and I should not directly edit Wikipedia in a way that promotes or benefits my website.

I have already requested the neutral username Northbridge47. If unblocked, I intend to contribute as an individual editor. Where something involving OnEurope needs correcting, I will disclose my connection and follow Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest procedures rather than treating Wikipedia as a way to promote my website. I will also contribute to subjects where I do not have a conflict of interest.

I understand the reason for the block and will not repeat the editing behaviour that led to it. OnEurope (talk) 19:49, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

The account has been renamed. As all you have done is correct broken links, which is something COI editors are permitted to do directly(click for the other things a COI editor can do directly), and you have agreed to disclose your connection going forward, I will remove the block. If you want to do anything more substantive that what's on the list I linked to, please use the edit request process. Courtesy ping to Mfield. 331dot (talk) 08:57, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

You did not use the correct template, and you did not supply us with a new username for your account. You must use the {{unblock-spamun}} template, because your account name represents a company/organization, something that Wikipedia's username policy explicitly forbids. Since this account is for your individual access only and can never be shared with anyone else, your username must reflect individual use. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:12, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Mfield: note: request did come in through the global rename queue which has been rejected in deference to the on-wiki process. – robertsky (talk) 03:03, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
I have renamed your account. Another uninvolved admin will review your unblock request. PhilKnight (talk) 15:23, 6 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
