Speedy deletion of Notorious online (radio)
editA tag has been placed on Notorious online (radio) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Regarding your question
- "I see this as an article about the history of pirate radio in Derbyshire and as there are articles on other pirates and ex pirates e.g Rinse FM Why can we not be added?"
- This has nothing to do with being a pirate radio, but rather whether there is something noteworthy about the radio. Rinse FM asserts that and has independent references. But there certainly are other articles that shouldn't be here either. Please take a look at wikipedia's conflict of interest and notability guidelines.--Tikiwont (talk) 12:54, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Notorious online
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article Notorious online, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Notorious online. Roleplayer (talk) 00:19, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Your recent edits
editHi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 13:41, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Notorious online, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Notorious online is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Notorious online saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. Jon513 (talk) 12:34, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
I can see that you feel that, given your history with that page here, but that doesn't matter. You have to prove noteability, as you should know by now. Since that page was recreated 4 minutes after the most recent deletion, and since there has been a discussion about that page already, there was no question about deleting it again (which I didn't, I just notified an admin BTW).
If you can prove noteability, I suggest you create that page in your user space, add the appropriate sources and ask an admin if you can bring it back. I'm pretty sure that if you keep recreating that page by yourself you'll get blocked soon.

- (edit conflict) Thank you for contacting me, so I can explain why your article is being deleted. About four months ago the article was deleted after a discussion (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Notorious online), which you participated in. You were the only one who felt it should be kept, everyone else thought it should be deleted. While wikipedia is not a democracy there is a system of decision making which is respected. For you to simply recreate the after there was a consensus to delete would subvert the system. If you believe that the deleted was a mistake you can appeal the deletion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. If you can write a new article that address the problems with the original (lack or reliable independent sources) you are free to create such an article, but I cannot guarantee that it will not be deleted as well.
- On a separate note, it seems to me based on your user name that you may have a strong conflict of interest and I would strongly recommend for you to stop editing wikipedia on any subject in which you have an inherit bias. Please see Wikipedia:FAQ/Business. Jon513 (talk) 12:52, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- In case you are in any doubt I would merely confirm that I am in agreement with both the above comments. I would strongly advise you not to re-create the page or blocking may well be the result. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 13:13, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Image permission problem with Image:Notorious Logo with no text.JPG
editThanks for uploading Image:Notorious Logo with no text.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 05:32, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
