Sorry about that. I actually didn't look at the image description pages. I just assumed they were fair use images. hbdragon88 22:41, 21 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Air Force

edit

I don't question that "hell of a roar" is the official phraseology, and always has been, even when the final line was "nothing can stop the Army Air Corps" (which actually rhymes with "roar", you'll notice). But for decades, the versions sung in larger public settings (such as radio and TV and recordings) substituted "terrible roar", as an apparently approved alternative. (The Mormon Tabernacle Choir version, on their album of patriotic songs, is a good example). Language has gotten a lot freer since things started to change in the late 1960s, and for example, when Jay Leno has one of his military-in-the-audience shows, they sing "hell of a roar". However, I think it's safe to say that they still sing "terrible roar" when teaching school-age kids this song (assuming they still teach them patriotic songs in school). I nominated File:AndreaDavis2.jpg as a copyright violation and File:Olelo 1.JPG as lacking a source. I also nominated File:JW.jpg for deletion. Regards. Hekerui (talk) 16:05, 20 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
