Given that you opened the RfC and have tried some moderational comments etc. at the argument at Talk:Golan Heights, do you want to add yourself as a party to this Arbcom request and express your view?--Peter cohen (talk) 00:24, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Tags on Moody article
Thanks for adding the tags on William Lewis Moody, Jr. Out of curiosity, how does this article fit into the Houston project? --Auntof6 (talk) 03:17, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for creating the article. I had been meaning to do it for some time, but alas it was on my back burner. During Moody's lifetime he was involved in business and politics in both his city of residence, Galveston, and its neighbor 50 miles to the north, Houston. His business ventures had (and still have) an extensive presence in Houston and the charitable foundation he established makes numerous grants every year to Houston-based institutions. Cheers! --Nsaum75 (talk) 07:02, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- OK, I see. I created the article because I happened to come across his name as a redlink on several other articles I worked on. I got curious enough to do a little research and actually create a real article instead of just editing existing ones. I've been thinking of doing one on his daughter Mary, if I can come up with enough to warrant a whole article. If you're also thinking of writing one on her, though, I'll be glad to leave it to you! --Auntof6 (talk) 07:19, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
Im not really sure
what I'm supposed to do there. I saw you brought up those new accounts, I have already made several posts about that, someone is trying to frame me and make it look like I am creating several accounts to get me banned from wikipedia. yesterday I was banned for 24 hours and a new account showed up doing the exact same edits as me using the exact same language:

Arbitration motion regarding Golan Heights
Per a motion at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case:
The arbitration committee advises that one or more neutral admins
chair a new and structured Request for Comment on the disputed naming
guidelines on the Golan Heights within a two month time-frame.
It is recommend that those interested use Wikipedia:WikiProject Israel Palestine Collaboration as a staging post.

Saint Mary.jpg
Hi! I deleted Saint Mary.jpg (speedy) since the image is available on Commons as File:GalvestonSaint Mary.jpg - Now I am replacing all Mainspace links with links to the new image. If you want, please move the link to the image on your own page to File:GalvestonSaint Mary.jpg WhisperToMe (talk) 06:37, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
I have also moved File:Galvcocourt.jpg to the commons - Would you mind changing the license on the flickr page itself to Creative Commons and uploading a version that does not have the text in it? Thanks. WhisperToMe (talk) 16:24, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- Done --Nsaum75 (talk) 19:47, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Rename of Anti-Israel lobby
You say that a name change would require a total rewrite of the article. A total rewrite is part of the deal. See my earlier post suggesting the rename.
Pretty much the way I envision the article you can see at User:Ravpapa/Lobby.
Because of the extreme touchiness of some editors regarding this article, I would like to see 100 percent consensus about the name change, before proceeding. Is there any way I can persuade you to change your mind? --Ravpapa (talk) 07:40, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- Your re-write does help to greatly improve the article by making it more encyclopedic, and I truly appreciate the time and effort you have put into this; however if anything it helps to exemplify and reinforce the merits of the current title. The editors who proposed the rename are the same ones who raised the issue of deletion. My concern lies in the fact that because they were unsuccessful in their attempts to get the article deleted, they are now trying accomplish the same thing via a different route; that route being the renaming of the article and removal of content which they don't like. I do think, however, you should add the information in your re-write to the article. Regardless of whatever viewpoint someone holds, it does help to make the article more encyclopedic. --Nsaum75 (talk) 05:25, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- Of course, I agree with you that the current title is better, if only for the reason that "anti-Israel lobby" is what these organizations are called. But we live in an imperfect world. It is clear that this article isn't going to budge without the name change.
- And after all, what's in a name? In any case, there will be a redirect from "anti-Israel lobby" to the newly named article. So the words at the top of the page make very little difference. --Ravpapa (talk) 06:05, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
You are very right, the world is imperfect; and not to be cliche, but one man's definition of heaven is another man's definition of hell. However, the article titles aside, I deeply appreciate your work to find a common ground amongst editors. I also think you did a fine job in expanding the article -- regardless of whatever it is ultimately named. --Nsaum75 (talk) 08:30, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Where do I file a complaint?
Nsaum75: User:Supreme Deliciousness continues to label another user as my sock and meatpuppet as a defence for his violation of the 3RR, in spite of 2 SPI's that he had initiated and that have resulted in "Declined" and "Unrelated", respectively. You have previously written a comment on my Talk page in this regard, which was appreciated. He also calls me a "liar" and other names. Where do I make a formal complaint on this matter? --Arab Cowboy (talk) 11:24, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
