editHello. Most articles on Wikipedia about contemporary artists do not contain images, because it is difficult to get an image that meets our free license requirements. The images you added to the Scott Gentling draft are not free, so I have removed them and tagged the Wikimedia commons images. If you have a COI with the Gentlings, please disclose. Thanks. --- Possibly ☎ 21:21, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for letting me know! No, I don’t own these images. I’m writing articles on North Texas artists because they didn’t have pages – Gentlings, some from Fort Worth Circle, some from Dallas Nine, etc. I previously requested a local institution for images on Wikimedia Commons that I can use for these articles – I suppose the ones uploaded for Scott Gentling weren’t activated yet and I have requested them to do so upon seeing your message. Just aiming to share the stories of these important artists in North Texas history online, especially since some of these artists' exhibits are coming up locally at various organizations. Rusalkii (talk) 19:03, 17 December 2021 (UTC)- Great article! I ended up looking up his art and I love these birds, they're incredibly expressive, especially the grumpy little blue one. Have you considered nominating an article for a WP:DYK? Rusalkii (talk) 19:07, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
