Signing your name
No worries, SineBot took care of it. In any event, my purpose in posting the above was to formally welcome you here, not really to make a point out of signing your name. Thank you for your contributions and I hope you enjoy your time here. Accurizer (talk) 03:17, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Deleted Text
How long do we wait to hear what people have to say about the text I removed? The text dates back to a version of the article that was much less professional (rife with blatant mistakes I've since corrected), and I don't think its age should speak to its value. Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to United States, without explaining the valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. — Jeff G. Sandbox vandalism
Disruptive edits in the sandbox cannot be called vandalism, uw vand templates should not be used. May be best to write one's own warning like "Please stop disruptive sandbox editing". 209.244.31.53 (talk) 03:19, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Jenna Bush artical
Thanks for reverting User:Sweet-pea-1981 vandalism on the Jenna Bush artical. I was approching the 3R rule, and he vowed to continue it on my message board. Take care... Dinkytown (talk) 03:15, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- You know, if something is clearly vandalism, you can revert it without it counting towards 3R, I believe. Would this have not counted? NuclearWarfare (talk) 03:18, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- FYI, Dinkytown is assuming - errantly I believe - that 74.224.113.172 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) and Sweet-pea-1981 (talk · contribs) are the same person. 74.224.113.172 made an edit that changed up some Hager vs. Bush naming as well as inserted some crap about sex appeal and abortion. 74.224.113.172's edit was rightly reverted. Sweet-pea-1981 saw the Hager vs. Bush changes - which he has opined on in the past - and reverted back, probably not realizing that the sex appeal/abortion crap was re-added as well. 74.224.113.172 then left the snarky message on Dinkytown's talk page, not Sweet-pea-1981, but Dinkytown is treating them as the same person. Sweet-pea-1981 has a spotless record here and I seriously believe just got confused, missing the full extent of the large edit. —Wknight94 (talk) 03:58, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Rollback
Hi. I've just granted you the rollback right. As you've made some minor mistakes evident on your talk page regarding identifying vandalism and warning people, I'd like to remind you to be especially careful when using this tool as its use can be seen as an assumption of bad faith regarding the person whose edits you revert (when this is not yourself). If in doubt, use the undo feature instead and leave an explanatory edit summary. I trust that you'll use rollback productively and responsibly. Good luck, and have fun; {{Nihiltres|talk|log}} 04:56, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you. I shall strive to do the best I possibly can in both fighting vandalism and avoiding mistakes. NuclearWarfare (talk) 15:15, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Editing
This is not a vandal editing. It is adding a figure of area and population.219.68.144.162 (talk) 16:08, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- It was added very sloppily though, which is why I reverted it. I'll delete the warning though.NuclearWarfare (talk) 16:14, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Shangri-la diet
You have just reverted an edit I made which corrected a mistake in the article.
I provided references for the new correct information.
Please do not revert to an old edit unless you can prove the new changes are wrong. Otherwise it's just vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.160.184.154 (talk) 16:29, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
-- it appears the reversion was made automatically using "Huggle". The responsibility for use of this tool rests with you. Do not use it if it makes mistakes as bad as the above --- reverting good and constructive edits. It chills me to think of other reversions you have made in this way that might not have been caught. You are stopping Wikipedia progressing with this tool. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.160.184.154 (talk) 16:33, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Vandal revert on Morgan York
You undid a vandal revert. I noticed you removed the notice on the page of the person who did the revert but you left the vandalism in the article. Please be careful when you are using automatic tools. You are still responsible for what happens. --NrDg 03:01, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh gosh, that's the third one today. Maybe I should stick with my usual Twinkle. NuclearWarfare (talk) 03:02, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- I suggest going over your own edit history manually after using Huggle and verifying exactly what Huggle did. That is probably the best way to learn what it is doing. I prefer Twinkle but I still alway double check everything. --NrDg 03:10, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

- I offer my my most sincere apologies. I do make mistakes while reverting vandalism. Please take into account the high number of reverts I make every day. It's still only a small percentage of my anti-vandalism work.NuclearWarfare (talk) 18:40, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Sorry for the confusion
You just reverted an IP's undo of my edit to Toxoplasmosis.. On closer inspection, the IP was right. That info is cited, it's just that it's not immediately obvious where the citation is. I undid your undo of the IP's undo of my undo.... or something like that. ha ha ha... anyway, sorry for the mix-up, my fault. --Jaysweet (talk) 19:35, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for checking that out. You've made wikipedia a better place. Congratulations :) NuclearWarfare (talk) 19:37, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Christy Canyon
How did you decide that my correction was "not constructive?"
There were many errors in edits made in April, May and June, so I reverted the article to the last which was generally accurate. Have you read Christy Canyon's biography or any of the references? It appears probably not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.94.143.21 (talk) 19:37, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- I haven't, so I'll defer to your knowledge. It is just that, when seeing a massive flood of changes about sex and porn, a person who does anti-vandalizing for multiple hours gets suspicious. NuclearWarfare (talk) 19:40, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

← Huggle, as of version 0.7.9, prompts for confirmation whenever reverting a whitelisted user. So these "accidental" reverts shouldn't be happening - I revert vandalism 0.001 seconds before others occasionally, and I'm not getting warned for anything... Calvin 1998 (t-c) 21:31, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
- No, I mean you click the warn button, but like, 0.000000000000000001 seconds after you click it, the edi says the other user reverted vandalism. So, you click it before that message shows up. Shapiros10 contact meMy work 21:52, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi. Writing user essays and then waiting for me to stumble across them is certainly a novel way of filing a bug report, but in future, it may be more convenient to do so at Wikipedia:Huggle/Feedback. Can you provide some diffs that illustrate the problem you describe occuring with a recent version of Huggle? Thanks. Gurch (talk) 01:23, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I didn't really see it as a problem that could be fixed, more of one to be avoided. However, if you want, I could write down what I felt were the main issues over there. NuclearWarfare (talk) 12:01, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Your message from my page...
I do not make 'joke' edits. Too many people were editing the page and I lost track of the edits. If you look at my edit history, you will see that ALL of my edits are legit. I am a user who looks for vandalism and tries to correct it. Sweet Pea 1981 (talk) 21:16, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I actually discussed it with another user, and we already did come to that conclusion that we we were both correcting vandalism at the same time. I will gladly delete that warning if you wish. NuclearWarfare (talk) 00:53, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Duplicate SSP report?
Hi NuclearWarfare. I happened to notice you creating two different SSP reports on the same guy, and wondered if this was intentional.

User talk:212.116.219.107
The edit that User talk:212.116.219.107 made to Khalid Boulahrouz was extremely bad grammar, but it was not actually vandalism, his daughter's death is already covered in the "personal life" section. JACOPLANE • 2008-06-19 13:06

Dark They Were, and Golden-Eyed (bookshop)
Seven minutes, eh? Nothing like given a new page a chance, is there? This is re-worked material transfered from Dark They Were, and Golden-Eyed, which is significantly different in character (i.e. a shop, not a work of fiction, albeit one named after it) to merit separate treatment. The shop was already referenced in Forbidden Planet (bookstore), though not linked. Nick Cooper (talk) 13:55, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well then, add the hang on tag, and write more. It didn't seem very large nor did it seem relevant enough for wikipedia. If you are going to write more, I'll delete the csd tag. NuclearWarfare (talk) 13:59, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- OK, having checked further, the shop was already mentioned on a few other Wiki pages, which I've now cross-linked. The head shop angle adds to the noteriety of the store in the London alternative/underground scene. Nick Cooper (talk) 14:22, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of The Zombie
Greetings! You had tagged The Zombie for speedy deletion, but I declined (objects are not part of the A7 criterion). However, I have proposed deletion of the article, due to a number of concerns that I have about notability, sourcing, and conflict of interest. If the prod is contested without the issues being addressed, I intend to nominate it for deletion via AfD. If you are interested, you may want to watch the page to see if the AfD occurs. —C.Fred (talk) 16:59, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: Gale nye attack page
Hey Nuclear. Just a suggestion. When dealing with vicious attack pages such as the above, especially when there are prior warnings on the user's talk page use a much stronger warning (I would actually start with a final warning). Attack pages on living people is about as bad an act of vandalism as we get. Cheers.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 19:28, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Article 3
Article 3 definitely needs improvement, but so does the rest of Article 1, all of Article 2, and virtually every other article in the project involving the law. Article 3 was somewhat lower on my own list of concerns, if only because sequentially it comes later. Also, I can see where many things in Article 3 (e.g., standing, "abstention," sovereign and 11th Amendment immunity, etc.) would be extremely difficult to describe for a non-legal audience, making me feel somewhat recalcitrant to tackle it when there are other things to attend to. MrArticleOne (talk) 15:14, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'll give delegalifying it a shot. Also, what, in your opinion need work on the other two articles need help; I could try to help with those. NuclearWarfare (talk) 16:19, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- I did some pretty extensive revising of sections 1-4 of Article 1 of the US Constitution, although I'm sure there is more work to be done. Generally speaking, I would like everything to look like that (although, I admit that part of that may be driven simply by the fact that I like my own work). My overarching goal has been to try and touch on the most significant aspects of each clause's impact on the governance structure of the federal government, as well as the top doctrinal areas. I am increasingly of the opinion that the text I wrote for Art. I, Sec. 1, probably needs to be reduced/condensed in some fashion, and then reproduced in more detail at a separate article on the Legislative Vesting Clause. I see there is already an article for the "Vesting Clauses" generally, but each of them is relatively rich and could be discussed at length.
- As is, I think, pretty normal, I work on this in spurts and as the "bug" bites me. I have not approached my contributions with any particular discipline; for example, I was working on Article One for a while, and then sorta got distracted by the Preamble (which still occupies my mind). Thanks for reverting Oliver Wendell Holmes High School
NuclearWarfare, I want to thank you for reverting the page Oliver Wendell Holmes High School to remove the vandalism caused by an anonymous IP user. The particular edit you reverted was an attack on me (Kort Jackson) personally. I thank you for your time and effort extended towards this article, ensuring it to be free from vandalism. As a token of my appreciation, I am awarding you a barnstar:
The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar | ||
Henceforth let it be known that, I DynamoJax, hereby award this RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar to User:NuclearWarfare for their tireless work on the reduction of vandalism, on this day, the Twenty-Eighth of June, Two Thousand and Eight. Fail Whale tagging
G'day! You gave the Fail Whale a few tags. I've done some work on the article. Could you re-visit the article, give feedback on its current form, and if appropriate remove some of those tags so we know what to concentrate on?

- A) It's from an encyclopedia that was published in 1990. B) If you do believe you have fair use, you should put it on the page. C) Go down and read the tag underneath the description/source box. NuclearWarfare (talk) 16:27, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Speedy delete comment you left on my talk page.
Hello, recently you left a speedy delete comment on my talk page. I went to the article in question, and looked at the history where you cited speedy delete for reason of CSD:A3. However, if you actually read it, "Any article (other than disambiguation pages and redirects, including soft redirects)". The article in question is in fact a redirect. tabor-drop me a line 18:15, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

LegalWikiPro
Hey! I'm a noob, so I hope I'm doing this right. Here's the entry I placed on the discussion page at LegalWikiPro, in response to your edit....
- I am the owner of the LegalWikiPro site. I wrote this entry because I wanted to get this new Wiki mentioned on Wikipedia's list of external wiki sites. I patterned the entry on Jurispedia's entry. I am aware of Wikipedia's NPOV rules and do not want to violate their "advertising" guidelines. I have made some edits that, hopefully, help in that regard. Since LegalWikiPro is my "baby," I realize I may not be the best person to do the N in NPOV - so I submit this content to the editorial wisdom of the community.
I'm stooopid...so I'm all ears on how to do this right. :)
Thanks. Briefer (talk) 23:52, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- I responded on LegalWIkiPro's talk page. It might be better if we use that, so that other editors can see the discussion. And don't be afraid! Be Bold!
- Yeah, I saw that and responded there too. Thanks for the help. I also changed it to read "IS NOT affiliated with Wikipedia" etc. Not sure how I left the IS NOT part out! --Briefer (talk) 00:00, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi,
I noticed you've placed a vandalism four on this user's talk page. Given that the edit you've given it for was made before my vandalism three warning it seems unfair to raise it further as he won't have had a chance to take notice of the warning. I was wondering if you would remove it for this reason. It would even appear that their last edit was constructive (if pointless). Dpmuk (talk) 00:53, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- Moot point now as he's been blocked anyway (a bit hastily in my opinion but they can always appeal if they're that bothered). Dpmuk (talk) 01:08, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, OK. I guess I misread the time on your post. Incidentally, I was the one who filed an ARV on him ;) Why do you feel my action was too hasty? NuclearWarfare (talk) 02:53, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- It just seemed to me that some of their last edits may have been genuine attempts to edit constructively although I suspect they may have just been to make themselves look better. Personally I wouldn't have reported him quite yet (probably one more edit) but I have no problem with you doing so - everyone has slightly different levels and I think I'm probably a bit more lenient than most so IMO, it's still a good block. Please do not report users to be blocked just because they have a foreign-looking name. Wikipedia welcomes users from all parts of the world. rspeer / ɹəədsɹ 04:23, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hey now, I would never report someone whose name sounded "foreign" to me, as I'm "foreign" myself. It was my understanding if a name would be confusing to the majority of editors, it should probably be changed, and I thought that this username would be. I'm sorry for causing any problems. NuclearWarfare (talk) 04:26, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
The article contains good notability assertions (now, maybe not when you saw it) so I've not speedied it. However, I did hack out a lot of self-promotion and POV. --Dweller (talk) 13:27, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- When I saw it, it looked like http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Steven_Byess&oldid=224513291 . I agree, it is much better now. Thanks for making a good call and fix, Mr. Admin :) NuclearWarfare (talk) 14:08, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

What is misleading about the statement quoted from the email -- "Nancy Pelosi helps, and ...." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.59.153.141 (talk) 21:15, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry. That should only have been a partial removal. Reading the article, you can see that "Piedad" was not the original speaker of that quote. However, the quote itself was correct. NuclearWarfare (talk) 21:22, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Reversions using Twinkle.
You reverted this edit using Twinkle's vandalism rollback. Whether you agree with it or not, the edit could not in any way be considered vandalism. Be careful how you use Twinkle and how you label edits. If you get in the habit of using vandalism rollback in place of the undo button, they'll yank your Twinkle privileges pretty quickly.
As for the edit itself, I believe I was correct but please discuss it on the talk page of that article if you feel that material should be added. The paragraph, as written violated WP:BLP, was blatantly POV and was not supported by verifiable references (its only source was an opinion piece which didn't even mention most of the claims that the paragraph made). --Loonymonkey (talk) 17:01, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- I do remember that edit. I remember hitting the antivandal edit and then going "shoot shoot!" and hitting the regular rollback edit. I typed in the proper edit summary, but apparently it didn't go through. Also, you are probably right about violating BLP. It should definitely be taken away. I'm not really sure what I was thinking when I originally found that yesterday. NuclearWarfare (talk) 01:39, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. I've done it plenty of times myself. Maybe it's an itchy trigger finger or the fact that the "Vandalism" button is the big red one....it just screams "Press me!" --Loonymonkey (talk) 17:34, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Hello, I've been involved in writing one of the sections of the Hancock article. Would you point out what in particular seems inappropriate about the tone? I, or one of the other editors of the article, will be more than happy to tweak any errors. All the best, Steve T • C 06:46, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- The tone in the plot article was what I most noticed. It seemed too "in-universe" for me. I'll point out some examples.
- "After emphatically asking her permission to touch her, explaining that it is not sexual" - That was 10 seconds of humor in the movie
- "Ray teaches Hancock to make the compliment "Good job!" to the police." - Doesn't that appear later?
- "John Hancock (Will Smith) is a well-known man living in Los Angeles, with supernatural powers such as being very strong, invulnerable and being able to fly. He regularly saves lives and catches criminals. On the other hand, in doing so he causes a lot of material damage. Also he is an alcoholic, and he is rude. He has been issued a subpoena many times, but never shows up." - Could be rewritten as "John Hancock (Will Smith) is a well-known vigilante superhero who lives in Los Angeles. However, Hancock's reckless actions routinely cost the city millions of dollars, as Hancock is nearly always drunk while attempting to capture criminals. Hancock, however, does not care what the city thinks, and routinely ignores subopoenas and talks rudely to strangers."
That's just a few examples. I hoped that helped :) NuclearWarfare (talk) 21:56, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
My RFA Thanks
Thank you for your support at my RFA, which closed as a success. I was expecting my lack of mainspace edits to be an issue, so was surprised when the issue was on coaching. Ah, well - you can't please everyone, and I was aware of that before going to RFA. Heck, if my skin isn't thick enough yet, I am sure in for a shock when I start getting the inveitable complaints from the socks of blocked vandals! Trivial edits with AWB
Hi, NuclearWarfare. Take care with edits like this one, which doesn't change the appearance of the page. Unless moving the template around solves some technical issue I'm unaware of, that'd fall under "Avoid making insignificant or inconsequential edits such as ... moving a stub tag..." Cheers! -- JHunterJ (talk) 02:38, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
What's the point, really? And why "typo fixing"? Punkmorten (talk) 07:58, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello
You posted a message on my talk page complaining about an edit I made which had been reverted. However, no edit I made failed the NPOV test you suggested, and the information I added to the Al-Qazwini article in fact still remains in that article, but was edited for style. I have only included factual information. If you could be more specific with your complaints, that would be appreciated, thanks! McCain Landslide! (talk) 23:04, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Lata Mangeshkar's past has been hidden I have posted some details about her childhood
Once some body becomes popular and a celebrity he/she has to change his/her past and hide the irrelevant aspects.
Need to add the fact her father died at a premature age (conflict of dates/ages in article, as per story goes he died when she was 5 years) and being the daughter of the second wife (an intercaste marriage) nobody came to their assistance. In that time the wife and five childrem were abandoned. Lata's father's best friend Damodar Mirajkar (he was a play writer in Kolhapur and actor/director) took care of them in Kolhapur in Raviwar Peth, Kolekar Thiti for the rest of the years till the age 13, her musical breakthrough when she went to Mumbai for her first Playback recording. (Later Lata took all her family members and they settled in Mumbai.)
Mirajkar gave free accomodation and sometimes food as there was no actual income except for the money her mother would get for stitching clothes in that period of her life. She would go house to house sitting the whole day stitching all the garments of the rich house holds to earn a meager 3 "rupaya" and some "annas". We know this because we are distant relatives of her mother the whole entire family knows this. Nobody brought up the topic thats all it was kept hidden.
Never was there any acknowledgement of this at all. Mirajkar's daughter Kamal Mirajkar(who played as extras in films and in theatre- ie Ram Ram Gangaram (marathi)) would come to Lata's assistance and sometimes take care of her siblings when Lata and mother were out earning, she even cradled the young Asha.
One day a tantric Baba/palmist came to the street of Kolhapur. He told the future of many people. Lata was singing in the street as people threw coins, she made money like this for a living initially to support her family, brother/sisters. Somebody asked the palmist to take Lata's hand and read it too. The Baba/palmist said this girl is going to be the most famous person in India and world and will have success in the music industry.
Damodar would ask her to pay the rent of 5 rupees/month, but they did not have enough to pay and there was no other place for them to go to, nobody would take them in. Conflicts took place about their situation. People didn't like that they were living there also, some body wanted to keep her mother and all that stuff. Widows were considered taboo. What became of her mother's parents is unknown. ( I PLAN TO MAKE VISIT TO DAMODAR'S HOUSE next month AND ASK THE DETAILS the names you have may be wrong,I WILL GIVE ORIGINAL DATA HERE.) So, D. Mirajkar came to their safety as people and society were cruel and he opted to protect his late best friend's family instead of exposing them to the real cruel world. After some years people approached her to sing, she bagged a contract in Mumbai. That was when she decided to leave Kolhapur for good to escape and totally forget the misery. Damodar begged her and the family to stay back and visit them again but they left anyways and never heard of them again. Only through songs and videos. Lata'a father died soon after her last sibling's birth. No money was saved no inheritance. The father being in the theatrical field often exposed himself to the habits of alcohol, drugs and women. Which eventually took his toll.
I myself have met Damodar Mirajkar he died in 1974 at the age of 90+. So this is how I know this all. These are all facts. This is an encyclopedia so why write false? So this is why I make an entry of it. Also the people who know this will not be around anymore and the proof would be forgotten and nobody would know. Even that Asha Bhonsle doesn't know this story because she left Kolhapur when she was a small child. Even if you were to approach them they will deny ever living in Kolhapur. Once my father vsited New York in USA where Lata had a concert. He went to the stadium to get free tickets or to see if he could get entry atleast. He told who he was but nobody cared and nobody reacted and my father was shown the exit too. So much for taking care of people in poverty.
Later the Mirajkar family too went to poverty nobody cared for them and nobody fed them. I think it was shocking that this could happen to them. Many years went maybe 20 before they could actually come back to be atleast a middle class family they struggled alone to make ends meet. Not once did the Mangeshkar family pay a visit to Kolekar Thiti, nor once did they come to their assistance those days. That is why I write it here and make the points clear. People say why did you ever even help them in the first place. I am not here to defame them or make fun just simple controversy and thriller of the facts, to add some "masala".
I write this stuff and somebody wants proof there is no proof except what I write here. Go and put Lata on a Psycho-analysis machine or lie detector test etc., and then you will get the proof thats all I can say. If you want to debate this contact me on sush1624s@yahoo.com. I am willing, but don't want any hate mail from anybody. Come on this is proof Mirajkar family is a distant relative of Lata's mother the same caste. I am also related to them, Why would I waste time and write all this bull, if it wasn't true.
It was a shame that nobody from Mangeshkar's family took care of them. I'snt that shocking? Why didn't they? It was all about caste and creed that time nobody wanted to take care of them,a lower caste family perhaps. Now Lata has probably made a "will" for all the Mangeshkar people to inherit all she ever earned. What a bunch of hypocrites! Nobody likes her from our end and nobody in Kolhapur either atleast my family don't, I am not thrilled about her except about what I write now. You all others like her voice and like her singing and give her awards it means nothing to us. Once upon a time she was just a beggar! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.184.47.1 (talk) 10:18, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- You may want to check out WP:Verifiability. Our goal in writing Wikipedia articles is to write verifiable articles. In other words, if it can't be verified, it is automatically false, according to Wikipedia standards. NuclearWarfare (talk) 13:50, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

uh, Paddytheceltic is my best friend. It was a joke which I told him about and he found it funny then deleted it. I don't see why its any of your concern. It wasn't meant as a personal attack, but I can see how it would seem that way. Next time maybe ask a person why they wrote something instead of going ahead and threatening to block them. Estle (talk) 10:48, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
- Perhaps next time you should write encyclopedia content in an encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but if we had to apply that logic to every user that comes here, we would have a mass vandal spree. NuclearWarfare (talk) 00:54, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh noes. Personal attack. Go pretend like people care what you think and report me. I know you're getting hard thinking about it.Estle (talk) 23:02, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Kurt
Re [3]: I respectfully disagree. The meta-drama ("Kurt is an ass etc." - "Leave him alone etc.!" - "Leave me/us alone etc.!" - etcpp.) is of course utterly unuseful, but I believe it's important to point out, not only or maybe not even predominantly for Kurt but for other (especially inexperienced) editors inhowfar exactly a particular oppose of Kurt is invalid in a particular RfA. Indeed I think that not repying to an invalid oppose of him is almost as bad as the drama we've seen. We should strive for the sensible middle-ground and demonstrate that first and foremost, RfA is a discussion with the aim to determine consensus, and we should therefore demonstrate good argumentation even, and particularly, in the face of half-baked reasoning by someone. The main point being to demonstrate to all on-lookers and participants how it should be done, "doing our part", so to speak. user:Everyme 10:48, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

In the future, you should probably consider using {{welcomevandal}}
. Just letting you know about that template. Cheers! J.delanoygabsadds 03:26, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

- I don't think so. You could just hit "e" (edit page) and add {{subst:welcomevandal}} to the page. It's not a big deal, it just seemed strange to see you say "this is your last warning" and "thank you for your contributions" to the same user at almost the same time. My Username and Revisions to article about "Grace Church, Newark"
I am "Bruce E. Ford." I have used my real name because I believe that it adds credibility to what I have written about Grace Church in Newark. I am the senior warden at Grace Church as well as the church's Web master. I included in the article some text from the Grace Church Web site; but I am the author of the text, and, consequently, there can be no question of copyright infringement.
The page that I edited was a stub. I expanded it considerably. I do not understand why my revisions have not yet appeared, because more than thirty hours have elapsed since the time I began work on the page. Has someone placed some kind of interdict on my editing because of my user name.
How much authority can one attribute to unsigned encyclopedia articles or to articles signed with unrecognizable pseudonyms?
What about an encyclopedia article might invite harassment?
Bruce E. Ford (talk) 15:06, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
- Nice to meet you Bruce. Welcome to Wikipedia. I'll take a look at the contribution log to Grace Church, Newark and see if anyone reverted the change, and then we can talk about your username :) NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 15:08, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
- Also, you mentioned that you are the copyright holder to your church's website. However, even with you claiming you are the copyright holder, we still need some kind of verification. The best form of confirmation would be a GFDL-compatible license on your website. [Wikipedia:Text of the GNU Free Documentation License|This]] is an example of Wikipedia's GFDL license. Yours doesn't have to be nearly as complicated; one like this one should be more than sufficient.
- Now as for your username: The Wikimedia Board has no problem with people using their real name on Wikipedia. However, in the past, we have had problems with online stalkers, identity thieves, etc. Using a pseudonym or changing your username would be an easy way to prevent an unlikely situation. Addressing a message on my talk page to you
I have not yet learned how to address a message on my user page to you. I posted one message, and it appears as text addressed to all the world. Without reference to your message it makes no sense. I'll have to study the protocols.
You wrote that my revisions were "up on the board" unchanged. Yet when I search under "Grace Church, Newark," I find the original text untouched.
I'm not sure what the implications of placing a general license to reproduce and alter text on the parish Web site might be. Therefore, the best solution, I think, is for me to rewrite the text in the Wikipedia article. Will that be OK?
I am now at work and will have to defer study of the "talk page" protocols until this evening. I wanted, however, to reply to your helpful message.
I am also willing to change my username and simply to cite the parish Web site as the authority for the information in my article. That will give the article credibility. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bruce E. Ford (talk • contribs) 15:51, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
- For future reference, this is how: Since Wikipedia has no private messaging system, the best way is to write a section called ==re: User:NuclearWarfare== and type there, and then write {{talkback|Bruce E. Ford}} on my userpage
- The reason I told you about licensing is because Wikipedia does not allow people to post copyrighted information on it. The information either would have to be rewritten or given a fair use license. You can choose to do either.
- I'm not sure about how your other posted information on that article could have went missing. Perhaps you want to type it out either here or on your userpage and I can add it in for you and make sure it goes through. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 16:02, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello, Friedrich Karsch a stub article article created by me, has been added by you as a Candidate for speedy deletion. regarding your speedy delation message
I moved the message you left and the discussion it generated to Talk:Norbert M. Samuelson. By the way, this guy is really, really accomplished (two books published by Cambridge University Press, now just how many academics can claim that.). Since I had already placed his university webpage in the original article, you must not have looked at it. It's a short, single page. Anyway, maybe I'm too sensitive, but I do sort of feel like it's borderline harrassment. And find this particular action as an wikipedia editor out of synch with basic spirit of guidlines/policy such as WP:BEFORE. --Firefly322 (talk) 02:30, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- Woah, woah dude, Assume some good faith please. But you seem to be correct; I retract whatever idea I had that it ought to have been deleted. I must have not looked over the article properly earlier, or it looked a lot different. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 02:34, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- You're right: WP:AFG does apply here. But a Speedy Deletion tag is so discouranging, goes right to mine or any other article generation type of editor's "heart." Far from perfect, but I really am careful about my selections and what I put into main article space. I believe that good article generation tends far more difficult than good article validation. --Firefly322 (talk) 02:44, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- I should really try to write articles once in a while (I've been meaning to expand The Steel Wave). Perhaps that would give me a better grasp of things.

On the Nuthatch page you changed the capitalisation as above. When used in a species name it is not capitalised, so please review this edit. AWB may want to make many changes like this for the word in the second part of the binomial name of a species and they are all not capitalised. Snowman (talk) 16:42, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- Snowman beat me to it, the first part of a binomial is always capitalised, the second part never is, even if derived from a name, so it's Parus davidi, Certhia americana etc. jimfbleak (talk) 16:57, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

I've restored the original version of this article because someone added nonsense to it after it was blanked and you tagged it. (probably while you were tagging it) I've notified the author and asked him to reblank it if his intention was to have it deleted. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 01:18, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, I noticed the nonsense, but even then still tagged it as db-G7. The reason being as follows: KoritheMan created this article, probably as a test article for his Tropical Storm article, because the title makes no sense at all. He then blanked it. The anon went on to vandalize the article. I ignored the vandalism, and noted that the only significant editor had requested a deletion, so I went with that. But, I suppose that's fine.
Also, I'll be moving the article to Tropical Storm Chantal, so it makes more sense.NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 01:22, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
David Slater (me)
Hi, I don't understand why my edits get reversed. I want positive information on the page about me. I am the creator of this entry on Wikipedia, and it is intended to contain information pertaining to my music career, not my personal failures.
I have "paid my debt to society" as they say, and am moving on with my life. This is a web page my children view. Please, allow me to delete the negative information.
If not, I wish to remove the page; again, I am the creator of the page.
Thank you,

- Hello Mr. Slater. There are a few misconceptions that you may have about Wikipedia, so I should make them clear. First off, Wikipedia is not censored, but it is an encyclopedia. As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia strives to deliver balanced and reliably sourced information to its readers. I do see where you would wish to remove certain information about yourself. However, you are a notable figure and your arrest was a notable event. Therefore, according to our notability standards, we were "forced" to include it.
- Now, you may wish to review Wikipedia's policy regarding biographies of living people and also [4]. I think you will find those two very helpful.
- Now, I know I gave you a lot to swallow at once, so feel free to contact me back if you have any questions. NuclearWarfare contact meMy work 04:24, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

"citation needed" on David Slater page
Nuclear,
It will be very difficult to add a citation to the information about my therapy. What exactly are you looking for? Obviously counseling sessions are a private matter. Some of it took place while I was in prison, at other times I was at a therapist's office.
That I am again working in music will be evident by the link to the MySpace page.
What can we do to remove the "citation needed" thing?
Thanks,
