Question from Crimom Plays YT (20:04, 12 August 2026)

[edit]

Hello again, I heavily edited my article to try to meet the Wikipedia user page article standards, can you please check it real quick and tell me if it meets the standards. Thank you for your time, Crimom Plays. --Crimom Plays YT (talk) 20:04, 12 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

I think that what you have should be good. Norellia.sh(talk) 17:47, 13 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Cricketerlad (10:29, 16 August 2026)

[edit]

Hello, I see that you have been assigned to me as a mentor. You'll note from the previous reviewers PaulW and qcne that my submission was considered "borderline" for being approved. I've tightened it with a minor edit since so I hope you'll find it meets with your approval. Hope to hear from you soon. Cricketerlad --Cricketerlad (talk) 10:29, 16 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

I am going to let this run it's course in AfC, as I personally don't feel comfortable making the decision on something that's been discussed (as I see from your talk page). I don't have time do do a full review right now, but upon a quick look around the article, I think that you should pass AfC in no time, and that with a little bit of work, it will be something that will get approved fairly soon, (if not on it's current submission!). I'll take a closer look at it tomorrow morning (It is currently 4am where I am). Cheers! Norellia.sh(talk) 08:07, 17 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for this. I'm a novice when it comes to Wikipedia (but learning fast!). Does your reply mean that my draft in Articles for Creation is still out there for another editor/reviewer to pick up at random? PS hope you slept well! Cricketerlad (talk) 08:36, 17 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yeah pretty much! So once you submit a draft to AfC, they are all sorted into a queue that can be found at Special:NewPagesFeed under the Articles for Creation tab. From there, the Articles for Creation reviewers will go back and look into the draft that you have submitted, and determine whether it is suitable for Wikipedia or not. You can find what we are looking for under WP:AFCR. If you have any other questions, feel free to let me know! Norellia.sh(talk) 17:31, 17 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Okay, thank you. I assumed that as you were assigned to me as a mentor that it would stay with you to either accept it or decline it. All my previous AfC attempts have been responded to quite quickly. Best wishes Cricketerlad (talk) 18:57, 17 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Review of Kagurazaka Women's Choir

[edit]

Hi, I noticed you marked the article Kagurazaka Women's Choir as reviewed a couple weeks ago. For future reference, articles with no sources should not be passing NPP. Please draftify them instead. Thanks, ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 19:54, 16 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Ah thank you, I must've tagged that incorrectly, as normally I wouldn't be that stupid, thank you for going back and checking on that for me. Cheers mate. Norellia.sh(talk) 07:58, 17 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Rollback granted

[edit]

Hi Norellia.sh. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits. For more information about when rollback is appropriate, see Wikipedia:Rollback § When to use rollback.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the permission will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, and feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate use of rollback. If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin) and Wikipedia:Rollback. Good luck and thanks! voorts (talk/contributions) 22:03, 19 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Avery Thrive (08:07, 20 August 2026)

[edit]

Hi Norellia, I'm new on Wikipedia and I wanna write an article on behalf of my company (of curse without being promotional). The goal is just to make it exist on Wikipedia. Do you have any tips to help me? Thank you in advance --Avery Thrive (talk) 08:07, 20 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

"Explaining civilly" probably should go both ways...

New pages patrol September 2026 Backlog drive

[edit]
September 2026 Backlog Drive | New pages patrol
  • On 1 September 2026, a one-month backlog drive for new pages patrol will begin at a particularly important time for NPP.
  • The backlog has now passed 30,000 unreviewed articles, a level that has been described in current NPP discussions as exceptionally high and potentially difficult to overcome through normal reviewing alone. Backlog drives are one of the few measures that have historically produced a noticeable reduction in the backlog, so the participation of as many active patrollers as possible will matter this month.
  • If you can review during September, please make articles your priority. Every article that is reviewed is a meaningful reduction in the backlog. With the queue at its current size, even a relatively small increase in the number of articles each patroller reviews can add up to a substantial difference over the course of the month.
  • This is a hybrid drive, so redirect reviewing is still included. Redirects can be a useful way for newer patrollers to get comfortable with NPP and can help people build up to reviewing articles. However, the main goal of this drive is to tackle the article backlog, and experienced patrollers are particularly encouraged to spend as much of their available reviewing time on articles as they can.
  • Barnstars will be awarded based on the number of articles and redirects patrolled.
  • Each article review will earn 1 point, while each redirect review will earn 0.2 points.
  • Streak awards will be given out based on consistently hitting point thresholds for each week of the drive.
  • Barnstars will also be granted for re-reviewing articles previously reviewed by other patrollers during the drive.
  • If you have been thinking about doing more NPP, this is an especially good month to jump in. Whether you can review a few pages or hundreds, every review helps. And if you are already an active patroller, please consider whether you can put in some additional time during September to help bring the backlog back under control.
