Speedy deletion nomination of Rick Figlio

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rick Figlio requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. hmssolent\Let's convene 03:33, 27 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Cite the source clearly and precisely (specifying page, section, or such divisions as may be appropriate). You adding a name of an newspaper article and just saying 1968 isn't cutting it. If you aren't able to cite the source propery, then don't use it. Niteshift36 (talk) 14:12, 18 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the suggestion. I will find more specifics on the 1968 article before citing it again. I have paper copy but the exact date and page number are not legible. The newspaper publisher should be able to get it for me. Number9060862

  • From what I've seen, you may not need it. I'm not seeing anything that is unique to that article that the other sources you're using are unable to cover. I'd hate to see you spend a lot of time getting the info for something that is already duplicated. Niteshift36 (talk) 17:57, 18 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Bamyers99. I noticed that you recently removed content from Jason Gonzalez without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. --Bamyers99 (talk) 21:23, 11 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

William L. “Corn Pop” Morris moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, William L. “Corn Pop” Morris, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
