Article Feedback deployment
Hey Supercuty27; I'm dropping you this note because you've used the article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :). Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 22:06, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Why did you thank 50.72.161.19 for "fighting vandalism" on Kurgan hpothesis, when those involved with his similar past edits to the article would be more likely say that his actions come much closer to committing vandalism???? AnonMoos (talk) 23:46, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

Your request for rollback
Hi Numbermaniac. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! INeverCry 22:31, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

- (stalking your talk page ever since you declared you were stalking mine) Congratulations! Now that you're a rollbacker, you can try both Huggle and STiki (which, I'm sorry for having forgotten to mention, either needs a thousand article-space edits or the rollback right). There is an acute need of more Hugglers (in my opinion) and I'm sure you'll serve great in preventing vandalism. I hope to see you around Huggling! smtchahal(talk) 10:38, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks! That really lightened my day! -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 08:36, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, how in the world does Huggle work? Help! I see a bunch of edits on the left, and when I click one it just disappears. I don't get how it all works. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 08:48, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
I can clearly understand your problem here. It was only a few weeks ago that even I started using Huggle for the first time. Since you're a beginner at using Huggle, you should try getting used to the software first. After opening (and logging into) Huggle, click that huge blue play icon, after which you will be lead to the next page with at least one edit recently made by a new user. It will show you the diff caused due to the edit made by the new user on that page. If the edit constitutes vandalism, click the red button, which is at the right side of the blue 'next' button. If what you're reverting is something close to vandalism yet not exactly it, select your reason from the dropdown box that appears when you click the down arrow, located at the right side of that main, red revert button (which is preferred over a 'normal' revert). As you do it, the edit gets reverted (given that no one interrupts) and the user whose edit had been reverted gets an appropriate warning message or even a block request at WP:AIV if the user has been warned enough times (so far, none of my block requests have been declined). You don't need to bother to go to their talk page, click "TW" and all that; Huggle does it all with one click (now this makes rollback worth all the importance it's given, in my opinion). If the edit does not constitute obvious vandalism, or if you're not sure, click the next button again to get to the next diff on a different page.
Apart from just reverting edits, there are a lot of other things you can do using Huggle, too. Editing pages, tagging them for deletion, manually warning users or requesting their blocks (and even blocking them yourself if you're an administrator) are a few of those things. Once you get used to it, I'm sure you will become a great Huggler in a matter of few days.
PS: You have a new message on my talk page. smtchahal(talk) 13:52, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for the help. But why do some edits have background colors or a colored box next to entry? And does that mean that I have to look through every edit to find possible vandalism? -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 06:50, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, well, while I myself don't know Huggle completely, I don't think I can also explain that bit to someone else as well. I'm sorry, but I'm sure the #huggle connect IRC channel must have some experienced Hugglers who could help you (click "connect"). smtchahal(talk) 07:44, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

Hello Numbermaniac. I just made comment on my talk page about my 3AW edit and was about to do the same on your talk page but see you have already made another comment.
For the record I said "My edit was clumsy, although it did explain why I was doing it i.e. it says.. "removed redundant message from 2008, requested new logo graphics. They were updated in January 2010". Have now fixed it in a more appropriate way. Thanks."
I thank you for your correction, all good now, I think. Cheers. Melbourne3163 (talk) 09:00, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

On Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Criso
Hi, Numbermaniac. I am a member of the Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Cristo in the Philippines, and in fact, I am the son of the head pastor of the said denomination. With regard to my edit of the Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Criso, I edited it because I was supposed to move the United Evangelical Church of Christ in the Philippines article to the title Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Cristo, which is the official name used by the church. The "Criso" mistake was a typographical error of the word "Cristo", so I removed all the details from the "Criso" page, moved it to the Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Cristo page and simply redirected the "Criso" page to the authentic Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Cristo page. The first article created, United Evangelical Church of Christ in the Philippines, is outdated, inaccurate and was created by an outsider (I believe the writer was from the World Communion of Reformed Churches). Nevertheless, thank you for your concern for the said article about the Unida Church from the Philippines. God bless! — Preceding unsigned comment added by YesuJireh (talk • contribs) 08:13, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, I just thought it was redirecting to itself, which isn't very useful. Sorry about that. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 08:19, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- You do need to be more careful about using Huggle. You probably didn't notice, but you reverted all (more than 10) edits by this user. I think you only meant to revert that last edit, but rollback does not work that way (the same goes for Huggle). It undoes all edits by a user to last version by a different user (hence you can't use rollback for pages edited by only one user; there'd be nothing to revert to), which is why it is only useful for vandalism since it is usually safe to assume that since the last edit by a user was vandalism, the rest of them must have been unconstructive edits, too; but this was not vandalism (and I do understand why you were mistook). The next time you're not sure if you should revert a page when using Huggle, press 'O' to open the page in your browser (this is especially useful when you want to revert an edit that was not vandalism nor in the available types of reverts in Huggle). Also, you should press the left button (the one other than the red one; blue, I think?) enough times to see what reverting would result in. Don't worry too much, though. Even I received some messages about wrongly reverting pages when I began using Huggle. smtchahaltalk 10:31, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

- I have marked Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Cristo for speedy deletion for being a copy-and-paste page move of Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Criso and have reverted your edits from the latter article. Please always use the Special:MovePage page for moving pages (even though you've moved a page already) as copy-pasting does not move the page's revision history, which is essential when moving pages. smtchahaltalk 09:51, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- Hello. If I had some procedural errors on creating and editing the page Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Cristo, I am sorry because I am just a newbie here in Wikipedia. Nonetheless, if you are ever planning to delete any article, I believe that you should delete Iglesia Evangelica Unida de Criso because the page was created out of a typographical error. Thanks! I'm moving the discussion here because smtchahal's talk page is being flodded! Anyways thanks ! PrabashWhat? 12:44, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Seriously, how'd you manage to rack up 1007 edits in one day?! I've only got 235 after about a week! -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 22:27, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- I kinda got stuck to the computer :P --PrabashWhat? 01:36, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
- BTW I have 1445 edits on STiki now, I don't think I need rollback :D --PrabashWhat? 02:29, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
- Ahh! Are you serious?! That's a lot. I wish I had so much time. STiki doesn't work at school... :( -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 02:37, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
- Wait a second, I always use STiki at school during my lunch breaks, it should work at your school. --PrabashWhat? 03:08, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
- Unfair! Huggle opens but I can't login. I need the proxy settings which I don't know. STiki just doesn't open. Did you ever notice that if you sort the tableby "Avg. daily", you come at the top?! (After two clicks, the first one shows 0s first.) -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 08:30, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
- Hold on you're not from North America right? --PrabashWhat? 11:36, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
- I don't know why it matters, but I live in Australia. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 22:23, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
- Ok... Try installing java the next time you use the school computers, remember STiki is a java application, also the computers in Australia are just as good as the ones we have in Canada and should run STiki fluently --PrabashWhat? 02:43, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

I see the problem. They do have Java, but they're out-of-date. Why did I not think about that? Thanks! -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 03:06, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
- You're welcome! I also think I hit 2000 in STiki, and I just got rollback and I started using Huggle, to be honest STiki is a lot better because it goes directly to the vandalism which I love! --PrabashWhat? 00:29, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- CONGRATULATIONS! :D 2000?! You are so fast! I must be on about 260+ or something? Seriously, you've overtaken Smtchahal! And yes, I do prefer STiki, because it is better at identifying vandalism. But what I like about Huggle is that it allows you edit pages, view user talk pages, and even tag pages for deletion! -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 00:45, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you! Though I am a bit newer than Smitty (Smtchahal's nickname courtesy of your truly Prabash), I am surprised I surpassed him, but I realized he stopped using it after he got rollback. I agree that Huggle is more advanced than STiki, and the rollback button is the fastest when I spot vandalism. --PrabashWhat? 00:52, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Smitty. LOL! Yes, rollback allows you to undo multiple edits in a second. Just as fast as twinkle! -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 00:57, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Time to stick some more vandals! :D -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 03:14, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Be Careful Here
This vandal may be trying to cover up his talk page bad record, but restoring his talk page for further reference is probably not nice, think of it as a dunce cap soldered into your head :D anyways the reference article is here: WP:DRC Cheers --PrabashWhat? 01:39, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- I had the same ordeal with User talk:8.2.215.2. They are not supposed t remove the declined block request. It says that on the page you linked. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 01:41, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Okay wooops, sorry then! heh heh. Also you are doing a great job reverting vandalism using twinkle! --PrabashWhat? 01:43, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- It's ok. I actually didn't know they were allowed to remove the block notices/warnings. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 01:45, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- And thanks! I would be on STiki if I was on the computer. But I'm on my iPad. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 01:47, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, now I'm stupid. I got reverted by Drmies. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 01:49, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Shit happens. Now you know for next time; not a big deal. Y'all don't be too trigger-happy on the Twinkle. Drmies (talk) 01:55, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

There are few things more useless than edit-warring over a blocked editor's blanking of a talk page. In this case, the editor was right and you were wrong (see my edit summary for the page). There was no declined unblock request while the block was still in effect; they were serving out a new block. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 01:49, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- So that means I was correct? :D --PrabashWhat? 01:52, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not an idiot, if anyone it would be you, 206.45.85.127. I have an IQ of over 150. I have won multiple ICAS medals for my outstanding achievements and scores. In spell masters, I have beaten people over 6 years older than me. I won the senior championship last year. And I was only in Year 6. I beat Year 9s. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 01:59, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- No, you're not an idiot, but you were incorrect. I don't have much of an IQ, and I'm losing a point every night I go through Recent changes, but I do know that Wikipedia:Deny recognition is good advice. Drmies (talk) 02:01, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- And now read the frigging essay and stop feeding the trolls, or I'm blocking everyone here for wasting time and electron. Remember, with every edit you make, a polar bear dies. Drmies (talk) 02:11, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, but how does a polar bear die? -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 02:14, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Drmies Does this include me? i'm only trying to solve the conflict. Numbermaniac have you heard of the melting polar ice caps? --PrabashWhat? 02:15, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Yes I have. But how do our edits kill polar bears? That doesn't make any sense. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 02:18, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- We're wasting time here. and avoiding article space edits! time goes by and more polar bears die --PrabashWhat? 02:24, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Polar bears are dying because global warming caused by human activity (including burning fossil fuel to power your laptop) is melting the ice caps. That's why you should check to see, right now, if you left the bathroom light on. Drmies (talk) 03:00, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Good point. But iPads don't use much electricity. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 03:10, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) But no matter what you use to edit Wikipedia, the Wikipedia (or Wikimedia) servers still do get affected by the edits you make, and they need a lot of electricity… or at least that's what I think. smtchahaltalk 05:52, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- True, but computer+servers compared to iPad+servers… Which uses more? :P -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 05:56, 7 June 2013 (UTC)

Milestones!
Lol. That was good. Keep it up. Faizan 11:19, 10 June 2013 (UTC) |
Thanks. I would be doing it more often, but it comes just when school ends, and by the time I can go on the computer, I've already been beaten. . -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 22:31, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
- Lol that's not a competition. Glad that many more are taking over. Faizan 10:43, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- I didn't say it as, by beaten I meant someone else had already done it. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 22:30, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Eh... I did not intend that. Best wishes. Faizan 15:14, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
Speedy
Don't be afraid to use speedy delete tags. User:Lewbestubes and Skinner and this horrible shouted name would probably all have been accepted by an admin for speedy deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:04, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Greetings and... thanks
Greetings Numbermaniac. Thanks for the welcome & barnstar. I'll try not to let it go to my head, mindless stats. notwithstanding :) Cheers!--Technopat (talk) 20:42, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

STiki userboxes
Your STiki userboxes might need some updating there, you are getting close to 400, I know this isn't a competition but I'm approaching 4000 and maybe by tomorrow I will be there. But do you mind if I update your userboxes for you? --PrabashWhat? 03:27, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- Those boxes automatically update. Daily. -- (T) Numbermaniac (C) 07:30, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
