HEY
editJune 2013
editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would ask that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors, which you did not on User talk:Sikh-history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. SH 12:42, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Heading formatting
editWith regard to this, this and this, there is no need for any content to go in the space immediately under the main heading. Look around Wikipedia, such as at the Circumcision article or the Changeling (film) article, and you will see that it is not necessary. It is optional. Further, having information in such a space without it being under a subheading has caused our editors and/or readers to accidentally skip information because what they saw from the table of contents gave them the impression that there was no content in that area. This is because, on Wikipedia, it is often that there is no overview in a section that consists of two or more subheadings; our editors and readers therefore skip right to the first subheading in a section. One example that I know of where this included our own editors (including me) accidentally skipping a section is what happened more than once at the Changeling (film) article back in 2009. See this discussion, this discussion and this discussion.
You should review WP:Manual of Style, and Wikipedia policies and guidelines, to become better familiar with how Wikipedia is supposed to work. Flyer22 (talk) 03:39, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
