African Wild Dog Edit
Hi Nyook,
Thanks for contacting me via my IP address's talk page regarding the African Wild Dog edit. The edit wasn't done by myself, but I have a really good feeling that it was an accident made by my son who was researching the subject for a school project. I've since told him to be more careful when using wikipedia and not to make any unnecessary edits or any edits at all without first speaking with me.
Thanks for reverting the edit, it's much appreciated.

Hi, Nyook. I don't know how to msg u so I've hijacked this msg. I hope the original writer bears no malice. Your complaint to me about sources; it is very difficult to source this kind of info discreetly, but, rest assured, it's based on personal experience. And the good man's dead, RIP, so it's not libellous. Please restore my invaluable contribution to posterity! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.29.120.148 (talk) 08:14, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi Nyook. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 18:29, 17 January 2020 (UTC)

Sudden Deletion - no warning.
Hi!
I'm new to Wikipedia article writing so am doing my best to figure it out. However, I have just spent a few hours trying to get the referencing right by following the on-screen instructions and suggestions, but my entire article was deleted suddenly with no warning, giving me no time to copy the content for later changes if there were any problems flagged. I wrote the content myself and quoted two websites for historical clarity, both of whom I referenced. Please could you allow me to copy, paste and save my hard work so that I can make the changes suggested, and not have to start from scratch!! It would be great to have warning if everything is going to disappear - I read the Wiki guidelines and it states that fair warning should be given. How can I get a copy of the content for saving and editing?
Best wishes, Jo Dragons junket (talk) 12:11, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Surname article
Hi, if I add a summary can my edit stay please? In case you're interested here are the issues
- The first citation says Maiorano is possibly related but then says its more likely unrelated, so why have it here when it has its own page already?
- Same with Majorana, even though I think this is related. It has a page already, why not list notables there (especially when the most noteworthy bearer uses this spelling).
- The distribution is trivial and no longer current, the ref just leads to the homepage of a white pages website. 2A02:C7F:3846:4500:4CA0:725:38F0:730F (talk) 14:21, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi, So the problem is that all of the sources on his page are unverified and unreliable, yet presented as fact. All citations on his page are to his own websites. I am part of the watchdog community Bullshido.com that verifies fraudulent rankings for martial arts practitioners. Each of the edits that I made simply state that there is no proof whatsoever of any of his claims. The appropriate citation is his own website itself, which has no evidence to support any of the presented claims. Additionally, I'm not sure how I would site the fact that the academy he claims rank in BJJ under does not exist. I have verified such information with 6th degree blackbelt in BJJ (highest ranking BJJ blackbelt in France and 6 time world champion).
Looking forward to your advice on how to proceed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.140.16.202 (talk) 20:45, 3 May 2020 (UTC)

Drepanosaur
Hi Nyook
Regarding the drepanosaur article, mistaking Protoavis for Proavis is a serious issue. The former is a genus of dinosaur, the latter is an old evolutionary-grade concept regarding the origin of birds. Drepanosaurs were never thought to be dinosaurs, but potential ancestors of birds. I'm paleontologist, so that's why I'm quite concerned with this matter.

Removal of talk page comments
Hello Nyook,
I noticed that you warned User:LatinaFireDiva about removing content, specifically warning messages, from their talk page. Under Wikipedia policy, this is, in fact, allowed under most circumstances, even if the removal looks like vandalism. You can notify other users about past warnings by placing the template {{ow}} on a talk page after it has been blanked. Thank you, Passengerpigeon (talk) 07:56, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Passengerpigeon: Well noted, thank you. However, the user repeatedly removed my warnings as well, so is a pattern there.--Nyook ✉ 11:00, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Invitation to RedWarn
Hello, Nyook! I noticed you have been using Twinkle and was wondering if you'd like to beta test my new tool, RedWarn, specifically designed to improve your editing experience.
- Easy to use - Unlike other tools, RedWarn uses easy to interpret icons and simple summaries for common actions, reducing both learning and reading times.
- Supports rollback and rollback-like functionality - Unlike Twinkle, RedWarn supports both rollback and rollback-like functionality for users will rollback permissions. This decreases waiting times during rollbacks.
- Making life easier on the battlefield - Ever been in the middle of a vandalism war or campaign, frantically reloading the history page to see a new edit? No more! Enabling RedWarn's "Alert on Change" feature will automatically send you to the latest edit when a new edit occurs - and if you're working on something else, RedWarn will send you a notification while the tab is still open in the background. No time wasted.

- Rollback previews - If you're ever worried about the changes a rollback will make, especially in the case of reverting good faith edits, you can click the rollback preview button to preview the difference a rollback will make, with the version that will be restored on the right, and the latest revision on the left.
- Always the latest revision - RedWarn will automatically redirect you to the latest revision if the rollback is no longer for the latest revision - no more frustrating errors.
- Fast - RedWarn can automatically select a warning level, and, on vandalism and content removal rollbacks, automatically select a warning template.
- Built on your feedback - RedWarn is receiving frequent feature additions and changes based on your feedback. If there's something you don't like, or would like to see, just say!
- and many more features ...but I don't want to fill your userpage.
RedWarn is currently in use by over 35 other Wikipedians, and feedback so far has been extremely positive. question about revert
Would you please take a look at this? i suspect you were trying to restore the infobox someone deleted, but it was deleted because it was broken and vandalized, which is how it is now. i could undo several edits to get back to this version but i imagine it would look suspicious for an unregistered Wikipedia editor to undo that many consecutive edits to a single article.
i'm also a little hesitant to edit the article at all, because i don't know this actor (i saw her name in another article and came looking for some more information).

I am Albin from Albania and your imposing dictatorship against my changes based in ancient references about Dodona brought me here in your page to ask you why you are removing my changes and you let the lies about greeks to be declared in the page of Dodona?
- @79.106.126.20:Please see [7]. Nothing personal.--Nyook ✉ 13:20, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
Yes it is very personal Nyook. You cant direct me to the rules of cites and references because I know all of that. Instead of this you might be looking after the fake and false references over the article about Dodona which you are not letting me to correct to the right references. Reference about Aristotle are totally wrong, innacurate and even more false statements and false references. You cannot mention an author what Aristotle have said but you must show the original document where Aristotle said those words. The author you are mentionin about Aristotle have lied in reference to Aristotle. So your article about Dodona is totally innacurate, illiterate and is not on basis of rules of cites and references. Even more is an article that spread lies and it is a shame for an indipendent powerful dignitous site like Wikipedia to spread lies and using fake references to link Dodona with greeks when all this is not proven even more is a big lie using fake references to link Dodona with Greeks as original references do not support this. It is a shame for a big powerful source like Wikipedia to use fake references in order to create fake history and spread to the world a fake history.

- @Sjö: Long story short, I have start using RedWarn, a newly developed tool with which I’m not yet fully familiar. Even if RW works great, sometimes fails due to the human error (as this case is). Once again, I would like to apology for the inconvenience.--Nyook ✉ 12:41, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

Junipero Serra
Hi Nyook, you can check here, visit or ask them, it's the information in the walls of one of the Junipero Serra Missions in California (I think the first), founded by him with four soldiers, and so he achived the direction of California.

You Should Have Watched Mummy Kissing Santa Claus
I saw that you reverted my edit on [I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus] for not being cited. All I can suggest is that you should actually watch the video that is linked as a citation since the character literally holds up a piece of paper that is advertising for a bull (the time stamp is 1:14 if you are to busy).
Also as a side note, I will point out that the original version (that you restored) said that the SNL version was "darker". So if you're really concerned about citations you should have removed that. Not only is "darker" not explicitly cited it's both incredibly objective and blatantly wrong as a simple watching of the video will show.
In any case I've undone your revision of my edit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.103.236.73 (talk) 16:44, 21 June 2020 (UTC)

Im sorry - but those are all reliable sources - stifling information about racial segregation in the context of the black lives matter movement only serves corporate interests. Please let me know how these are not reliable sources?
- Your sentences need a source. Please provide proper citation.--Nyook ✉ 09:24, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
Sure - every statement is referenced to a published book. If you continue to disagree - perhaps we should involve other editors. Stifling information in the context of the black lives matter movement is not appropriate. No emotive language is used. These are just facts.
- @188.207.74.159: Maybe I was not clear. THE NEW sentences need a source. Your citation supports different sentences (even related) on a different part of the article. Simple procedure. --Nyook ✉ 09:52, 28 June 2020 (UTC) PS. Please sign your comments.

Rollback on Gang page
Hello, I've noticed that you removed my edit to the top of the 'Gang' wikipage that changed "Caucasian" to "white supremacist" on grounds of being non-neutral. The term "white supremacist" wasn't chosen out of personal opinion, but how the subsequent examples are described on their pages. 'Aryan Nations' describes the group as "an American anti-semitic, neo-Nazi,[1] white supremacist[2] terrorist organization that was originally based in Kootenai County, Idaho, about 2 ¾ miles (4.4 km) north of the city of Hayden Lake." The use of "white supremacist" here is backed up by multiple external citations throughout the page. 'Aryan Brotherhood' directly quotes the Southern Poverty Law Center's identification of the group as white supremacist, and the page is included in the category 'White supremacist organized crime groups in the United States'. The phrasing here is inappropriate compared to "African-American Bloods and Crips, Latino gangs such as the Latin Kings" since the latter two examples employ racial/ethnic classifiers in the loose sense of membership origins without implication of a specific ideology as emergent from those origins. The category "Caucasian" is not equivalent to these when followed by explicitly ideology-driven examples agreed upon by the Wikipedia community to be white supremacist. To be made consistent, "Caucasian" should include within its scope the "Italian Mafia, the Russian mafia, the French mafia, the Irish mob," which instead are listed on their own. To maintain the structure of the paragraph without any major rearrangements, I have only re-edited "Caucasian". --2600:8801:2C02:FA00:42E:A825:9CCD:CC24 (talk) 07:55, 11 July 2020 (UTC)
Edit(s) rollback on article "CocoRosie"
Hello Nyook,
I am new to editing Wikipedia articles and to using Talk pages, and apologize for any issues in the formatting of this (or if this belongs on the CocoRosie article talk page). I have recently been working on editing the article for the musical group CocoRosie. I received a message than an edit(s) of mine had been rollbacked as it was seen as non-constructive, though it appears all of my edits to the article had been rollbacked, even edits from the previous day. In editing the article, I intended to cite all information I added, and only removed information that wasn't cited or contradicted to the information my reference stated. I added multiple new citations to the article. My intent was to make the article (which is currently not well-written or well-cited) more succinct, explained, and informative as well as verifiable. I have also recently worked on other articles associated with CocoRosie, such as articles about their albums or singles, and my edits on those articles were not rollbacked. I am simply sending this message to ask if it could be clarified how my edit(s) were seen as non-constructive, or why all of my edits to the article were removed if only one edit was seen as non-constructive.
Thank you.

Welcome650 (talk) 09:56, 11 August 2020 (UTC) On the controversy section, the addition of "there have been examples of those who had undoubtedly met Ramana Maharshi corroborating Adams' Self-realization." seems out of place since the idea of one person corroborating another's self-realization is more for lineage holders and has nothing to do with the question of whether Adams actually visited Ramana Ashram. Perhaps the comment could be put in another section or its own section as there are indeed many Facebook and Youtube gurus who endorse Robert Adams.
Regarding the addition of Adams living in a cave thus explaining no one there having seen him, on page 458 of Robert Adams collected works he describes attending the main hall talks everyday for 8 months with this passage:
"I recall a Westerner, I'm trying to think of his name, Henry Wells, from Scotland. He apparently had read a lot of books about Ramana, and this was his first visit. He came into the hall, and I was watching this. Ran over to Ramana and prostrated himself on his stomach, and started going crazy. His feet were shaking, and he was chanting. The devo- tees wanted to pick him up, and Ramana said, "Let him stay." When he came out of it he told Ramana, "At last I have found you. You are my father, my mother, my son, my daugh- ter, my friend." And Ramana just smiled at him. And I said to myself, I was only eighteen years old, I said to myself, "Someone who is this enthusiastic, let's see what happens, if it lasts." The days went by and he kept prostrating himself every day for about a month. Then he finally stopped and he sat down like everybody else. And after about two months he started looking around the room at everybody, and he started complaining, that this wasn't right, that wasn't right. After about four months of being there he donated forty- thousand dollars to the ashram, and I'm just watching all these things going on. After about six months of being there, he started to find fault with the management. At that time Ramanas brother was managing the ashram. He started to whisper to the other disciples, of course the devotees had nothing to do with this, it was the disciples and the seekers. He started spreading rumors. He hardly ever talked to me. I guess I was too young. He was about forty-five years old. When about the seventh month he came over to me one day and he asked me outside the ashram, "Do you think Ramana is really enlightened?" So I just smiled at him, I didn't answer and walked away. He started getting devotees to fight against each other and rebel against the rules of the ashram. On about the eighth month he saw me again and he tells me, "Do you think it is right for Ramana to stand naked like this? Let's buy him some clothes and dress him up, so when Westerners come they won’t be frightened." So I told him what Ramana said: "Remember the reason for why you came." And this went on. A couple of days later I didn't see him in the hall. Second day passed and I didn't see him. The third day passed and I didn't see him. And the fourth day I inquired, "What happened to him?" And the house guest he was living with said, "Oh, Henry packed his suitcase and went back to Scotland," and nobody ever heard from him again." pp.458
On page 2319 Robert Adams states:
"I recall when I was with Ramana Maharshi, I used to stand at the door of the meet- ing at the old hall, when people used to come in to hear him, to see him. I was interested in the people that came in to see him. And because I was a Westerner, the Westerners would stop and talk to me. They were very funny. They change expectations, and ask me, is Ramana going to speak today? What subject is he going to speak on?"
Regarding Ramana speaking English, yes Ramana could speak english and write it also, but according to Kitty Osborne he never spoke it without a translator. If you want a link to that let me know.
Regarding the article from Ed Muzika, it was not from the well known Matthew Brown script but was from the Jan/Feb 1998 Yoga Journal article widely distributed at the time.

On the David Godman video, I don't think that should be referenced and certainly not referenced as a supporting source since David Godman acknowledged it as false information, took it down, and promised to correct the false information in it to anyone that asks. See Michael James article:
' [Robert Adams said...] ‘I had been living in Ramana ashram for about a year and a half. This was the end of 1948. I stayed with Arthur Osborne, in his house. In those days when foreigners came they were put up with Arthur Osborne most of the time without him knowing. And on one particular evening about 4 o clock Sri Ramana walked into the cottage and he brought me a mango.’
He made a similar claim a week later, on 9th August 1992, when he said, as recorded on page 2868: ‘In 1948, I was at Arthur Osbornes home near Ramana ashram. And Ramana used to walk in there every once in a while. He came in one day, sat down and he started to talk about not reacting to things.’
To set the record straight, despite what he claimed, Robert Adams never stayed in the Osborne’s house or compound, and Bhagavan never visited there. As Katya Douglas (formerly Kitty Osborne) wrote to me today, ‘Our house in Tiruvannamalai was...and is...tiny and NO ONE could stay in it without us knowing. What a ridiculous idea. Bhagavan NEVER came to our house, that is pure fantasy, a polite way of saying it is a lie!’
I do not know why Robert made up such stories, but such patently false claims call into question all his claims about having met Bhagavan and having lived there so long in those days.
I came to know about this claim that Robert stayed in the Osborne’s house..."' Michael James unquote https://happinessofbeing.blogspot.com/2019/11/ego-seems-to-exist-only-when-we-look.html Welcome650 (talk) 09:56, 11 August 2020 (UTC)--Welcome650 (talk) 09:56, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
