I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Can you help my improve my new article so when i send it out to a real wikipedian article it doesn't become a nomination of Speedy deletion? Thank you. the article is on my User Page. (OMGILOVEPEAS (talk) 16:09, 6 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
Okay, it seems notable, five things though. 1. Clean it up a little, 2. Get some refereneces. If you don't know how just ask me, and 3.expand on it, and 4. Change it from "Singer-songwriter" to "Singer/Songwriter, and 5. Make sure there isn't already an article about the person.Abce2|Aww nuts!Wribbit!(Sign here)16:15, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay i need help already =] sorry. But i've seen articles that have been deleted that are about the same singer what can i do to expand it, references, and make sure it is notable without doubt? (OMGILOVEPEAS (talk) 16:17, 6 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
I tried to do it for you, do it was on a backlist of some sort. How about we just add it there and if you can get good stuff to it like expanding and referenceing within a week, it most likely will not be deleted. I have a few tricks that I know. Oh, and I'll add it, but just say if you want to.Abce2|Aww nuts!Wribbit!(Sign here)16:23, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yes please go ahead okay where is the edit going to be? Sorry i'm just like getting used to becoming a Wikipedian. I have edited the article with a reference. (OMGILOVEPEAS (talk) 16:27, 6 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
Yes. Just get a couple to start out with, and then add on. Where did you get the info that's on the article? If it's from a website, I'll tell you how to do it. If it's from a book/magazine, I'll still help you.Abce2|Aww nuts!Wribbit!(Sign here)16:35, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay like what else could be a reference? And about the headline Websites (Temporary) isn't that going to nominate the article for speedy deletion? (OMGILOVEPEAS (talk) 16:43, 6 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
No, I am going to fix that. It's just you have refs by placeing <references/> in the references title. And Social sites like Twitter and Myspace are general frowned upon as refs of links to websites.Abce2|Aww nuts!Wribbit!(Sign here)16:45, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
When you said put Sarey Savy (Singer-Songwriter) into Sarey Savy (Singer/Songwriter) did you mean for the introduction, the article's official title or both? (OMGILOVEPEAS (talk) 16:48, 6 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
Okay i'm going to make some changes so please look back at the article every once and a while and tell me i'm doing good or bad? okay thanks. (OMGILOVEPEAS (talk) 16:54, 6 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
(out) I have to agree with ZooFari here; unfortunately, I don't believe Savy currently meets Wikipedia's notability requirement for musicians, and if this article were taken to Articles for deletion I would have to vote to delete it. I think you will have to wait until something notable happens (like the person getting a major record deal, releasing an album with singles that chart on a national music chart, etc.). As of now, all that he has is charting on some user-generated website, and not appearing on America's Got Talent. Also, based on your creation of this article, I assume you have some connection to Savy in real life (perhaps you are friends with him or something). Wikipedia discourages users from writing articles about people or organizations they are affiliated with; please see this guideline for more information. rʨanaɢtalk/contribs04:15, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Absolutely not notable. First of all, Seattle Music Charts is not a national chart. Have you read WP:BAND, the notability guideline for musicians? It clearly states that the criterion is charting on a national chart, not a local one.
Secondly, the website you linked to, [2], is not a real website. It's a Wix page, which anyone can create--this one seems to have been created by Savy himself, or by a friend. Please read the guideline on reliable sources to understand why this is not acceptable.
Finally, the website is so poorly constructed that I can't even find the Seattle charts on there anyway, so I can't verify that his song charted. Even if it did, it's not a national chart. rʨanaɢtalk/contribs16:53, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay listen i've done everything EVERYTHING. And there's no solution except for that this article is not notable i understand the concept and the needs of making of this article already. I've Google searched Sarey Savy there are many, many things about the aspiring singer and it seems nothing works. (OMGILOVEPEAS (talk) 18:25, 7 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
You guys are wrong It says < copied list from WP:BAND >
Sarey has been placed in a Major Music Competition which is "America's Got Talent". Which makes his article notable.—Preceding unsigned comment added by OMGILOVEPEAS (talk • contribs)
I think you're confused. To "place in a competition" doesn't mean to participate in it, but to finish in one of the top places: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or whatnot. Savy may have auditioned for the competition, but he did not place (in fact, he didn't even compete, he only auditioned). Therefore, he does not meet that criterion.
As for your message above...well, yes, I think you are starting to understand, "there's no solution except for that this article is not notable". That is in fact the case, unfortunately: no matter how hard you work to find sources, the situation is simply that this individual is not notable yet, and no matter how well you write the article, Savy himself has not done enough to merit a Wikipedia article. Rather than hurrying to find more sources, you really just have no choice but to wait until he does something that will meet our notability criteria; that might take a week, that might take years, that might never happen, no one can know for sure. rʨanaɢtalk/contribs20:05, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
No, all you can do is wait for Savy to become notable (currently there is nothing you can do to change how notable or non-notable he is). If you move the page to article space, it will probably be deleted.
I see you have started making some edits to other articles, working on marking cleanup issues in Elise Estrada-related articles. If you are still interested in contributing to Wikipedia, I suggest you refocus more on work like that, since it's something you can do without your article getting deleted. Furthermore, the more you edit, the more you will learn how Wikipedia works (you can also visit help pages such as Your first article, the Wikipedia tutorial, and Article development to learn about editing). rʨanaɢtalk/contribs20:14, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
How do you know so fast? Wait.............Elise Estrada's article is not notable but yet the article stays???Well besides the reliable references but it doesn't make sense! (OMGILOVEPEAS (talk) 20:23, 7 August 2009 (UTC)) Okay i get it what about a performer that's famous in one area? Just saying can that person have a Wikipedia? Because i've seen articles that are worst than Sarey Savy and their article does not meet the notability for music. (OMGILOVEPEAS (talk) 20:57, 7 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
Estrada has an independently, professionally-published album, and at least two singles that have been in the top 50 of a national chart. Savy has none of those; there is really no comparison.
As for other articles...please read WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS or WP:OTHERSTUFF. The presence of bad articles elsewhere on Wikipedia doesn't mean you should create more bad articles; Wikipedia has more articles than it has active editors to take care of them, so there are always some articles that have slipped through the cracks. Rather than adding more bad articles to the mix, you could work on cleaning up (or removing) the bad ones that you do find. rʨanaɢtalk/contribs21:55, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
You're right, they didn't give references, even though they should have. Since this is a wiki, you are welcome to find references and add them if you're interested.
Really, you do not need to be worrying about other people like this; you just need to worry about yourself and your own work. There are plenty of bad editors on Wikipedia; you don't want to be one of them. Just because someone else wrote a bad article doesn't mean you should. rʨanaɢtalk/contribs22:33, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
What about being mentioned in a magazine? Because on March 3, 2009 Sarey was mentioned in the Seattle Times magazine and website does that count? (OMGILOVEPEAS (talk) 00:41, 8 August 2009 (UTC))Reply
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 02:10, 8 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Peas, your trying to create a new article today, after all the messages I sent you, was extremely inappropriate. So was your use of multiple accounts to try to stop it from getting deleted. And so is your forum shopping, which means leaving messages with tons of different users asking them to come stop your article from being deleted.
I have left you many, many messages explaining what the notability issues with this article are, and it seems like you are not understanding things. I have tried to help you out by explaining guidelines and directing you to other activities you can do here on Wikipedia, but if you keep this up it will be clear that you do not have the competence to edit here on Wikipedia. So consider this your final warning: do not try to create a Sarey Savy article again without permission, do not continue to disrupt the project by spamming other users with your messages, and do not use alternate accounts to try and pretend other people are supporting you; if you do, you might not be allowed to edit here anymore. rʨanaɢtalk/contribs13:47, 8 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have blocked your account because you are continuing to create inappropriate articles about a non-notable person even after receiving numerous explanations of why the person does not meet our notability guidelines. Since you have not listened, I see no choice but to block your account until you indicate that you understand what is going on here. If you believe this block was made in error, you can follow the instructions in the box above. rʨanaɢtalk/contribs02:25, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
