Batman image
editNot to harp on you (because the name is stellar), but I don't think that you can display that particular image of Batman on your user page. Check out WP:FAIR, see if I'm mistaken. --King Bee 21:27, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- Copy and pasted from the image's page, located on the "comiccover" tag. To illustrate: the copyrighted comic book character(s) or group(s) on the cover of the issue in question; Since this is what the image does on my page, illustrates part of the topic at hand, so I don't see the problem here. I'm not claiming the artwork as my own or profiting from it, so I think it should be okay. --Oatmeal batman 13:20, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
- Okay. I thought that such "fair use" images could only appear on the article's page, and nowhere else on wikipedia. I just didn't want you to get in trouble or anything. --King Bee 13:46, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing the "English" link so that it goes to a real page. But I think that page should be "England," since it's the English nationality and heritage that it refers to rather than to the language. I'm fixing it, hoping that you agree. Jonathan Tweet 01:24, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Egyptian
editYou should be using [[Egypt]]ian, not [[Egypt|Egytian]] - CrazyRussian talk/email 06:59, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

- Interesting stance. I had always known it's policy here. An AWB user and/or a Bot are anyway going to fix it sooner or later - it's preset everywhere. I don't know from where to prove it nor am I interested in researching the question. - CrazyRussian talk/email 07:13, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Community Media
editThanks for the disambigious link repair for the Community Media article's mention of "American" in Canada's History section. Your Brother in Christ, DavidWJohnson 03:26, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Disambiguation
editPlease don't edit links to pages with "(disambiguation)" in the title by removing the (disambiguation). See Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Links to disambiguation pages which explains why these links exist. Thanks! --Russ (talk) 15:41, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request
editThis is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 21:59, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
AfD Nomination: Pakistani Proverbs
I've nominated the article Pakistani Proverbs for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. I am notifying you because of your previous involvement in the editing of this article. I do not feel that Pakistani Proverbs satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pakistani Proverbs. Don't forget to add four tildes (Kathy A. 18:05, 13 November 2006 (UTC)) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Pakistani Proverbs during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. Kathy A. 18:05, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
I don't believe you've ever been to Canada good sir. I call shananegins. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 131.187.253.130 (talk • contribs) 12:43, 15 November 2006.
- Thanks for the comment! For future messages, please sign all messages with four tildes (~~~~) at the end. I actually have been to Canada several times to visit my cousin and her husband and kids when they lived in Toronto. I believe the page you were attempting to link was shenanigan. Have a fabulous day! -Oatmeal batman 23:55, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

editWhat happened to the merge discussion? I say merge it. BTW, Go Buckeyes. --Thermal0xidizer
Yeah, there was a discussion a while back about merging the NES game and the arcade game articles, and I found both articles and just wondered what happened. Nobody on the recent edits had a talk page had a private e-mail, and one had quit altogether, so you ended up being the person I'd ask...
Gtkterm
editA {{prod}} template has been added to the article Gtkterm, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. mms 19:05, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi! You're looking very dormant, but I'm trying you anyway. Do you still dab incoming links to German? If so, I have a very annoying project for you. I have occasionally dabbed links to German myself, when I've found them in the course of my other dab work, and in some cases I've linked to Germans, which until recently was an article about the ethnic group. That page has recently been changed to a dab page and the ethnic group article moved to German people, so there are numerous incoming links to Germans that need to be fixed. Is this something you would consider taking on? Thanks for your attention, Tkynerd (talk) 20:31, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Adopting German
editHey. I noticed that you had adopted German, but haven't made an edit in several years. So I replaced your name with mine on the list of adopted pages. I have since found out that we're not supposed to remove other people's names without ensuring that they're really gone, so this is me double-checking: Are you really gone? If you do come back, feel free to add your name back and we can both work on keeping those links to German in check. Spock of Vulcan (talk) 22:31, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link fixing one-day contest
editI have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 02:34, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
