Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Leonard F. Morse. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites ({{{url}}} in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Leonard F. Morse with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Leonard F. Morse with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Leonard F. Morse saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Real96 05:58, 13 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. Your edits to Stepping (African-American)

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Stepping (African-American), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Copying text from or adding links to web pages or FAQs do not qualify as a reliable source when used for verification of fact, as opposed to opinion. Besides the copyright issues, note that the mispellings on the web page itself ("The cane was FRIST [sic] used in stepping by Bro. Nkrumah") indicate a misquote of the original text. Additionally, the text as pasted into the article gives the impression that the cited material argues that "stepping evolved even more" when the Phi Beta Sigma website actually says "Phi Beta Sigma stepping evolved even more." The pictures would be great for the article, but I'm concerned about the copyright--the copyright summary says that they are personal pictures, but they appear to be copied from the same website that you pasted the text from. I look forward to working with you on this article.-Robotam 16:11, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Ymiller.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Nobunaga24 (talk) 02:28, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Ymiller.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:28, 29 May 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nobunaga24 (talk) 02:28, 29 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Howard Plummer Question

edit

Greetings Occasio. I received your question. I am not the best person to ask about this kind of information. I haven't been involved in Phi Beta Sigma in a number of years. Your better bet would be to ask Mallet or Kevin Christian.--EhavEliyahu (talk) 08:42, 19 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm NicatronTg. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Tyrese Gibson, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. NicatronTg (talk) 04:30, 6 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of ESmart Tax

edit

Hello Occasio,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged ESmart Tax for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Pianoman320 (talk) 19:07, 31 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Liberty Tax Service, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages CMO, CSO and COO (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:21, 22 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Something in the water festival moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Something in the water festival, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 20:21, 7 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:2017 Liberty Tax Logo.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:2017 Liberty Tax Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Proposed deletion of File:TeamHenryLogo.jpg

edit

The file File:TeamHenryLogo.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Image of a unnotable topic that has since been deleted. No obvious value in transferring to Commons

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
