I have unreviewed a page you curated

Hi, I'm Limesave. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Indiana SB 101, and have un-reviewed it again. If you have any questions, please ask them on my talk page. Thank you. Limesave 05:58, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

Advocare Indycar Series

I'm not sure what you Googled, but you seem to be confusing the IndyCar Series for this hoax article. I'd also suggest actually reading the article in question and noticing the absurdity of the quote and it's follow-up. The359 (Talk) 05:45, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

Please stop Vandalizing by falsely tagging content for removal

Hi Oiyarbepsy - I see that you have a handful of contributions and are referenced to a previously banned wikipedia account. You are abusing the speedy delete tag function and throwing around wild accusations and making threats with in the talk page on one of my articles claiming that I am using cut and paste copy written material (which is 100% false). Threatening to contact associates and libel the person in the article and throwing around wild accusations about me. I have written this content 100% on my own exclusively for wikipedia. If you had any real intention of not being malicious and all you are simply trying to do is make wikipedia better, you could have simply opened a discussion on the talk page to resolve any issues you had. You have not even attempted to do this and further activity will result in reporting you for serious and frequent vandalism to wikipedia. If you have a legitimate issue or concern with one of my articles I am very much willing to discuss that with you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evershawn (talkcontribs) 15:33, 12 April 2015

Hello Oiyarbepsy, I understand that there may be some whitewashing and promoting of Luke Weil going on, but I don't think this edit was appropriate. You re-added poorly sourced, arguably libelous content that wasn't even particularly relevant to A. Lorne Weil in the first place. WP:BLP is not negotiable. (The copyright issue, on the other hand, was entirely valid and I have deleted the article on Luke Weil for that reason.) Huon (talk) 19:03, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
I apologize. I saw a promotional editor remove negative material and acted on instinct. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 19:42, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

I'm So Confused

Hi. Thank you for greeting me so kindly and welcoming me to Wikipedia. I would like to learn how to properly cite references. I'm very confused about that. Another thing is, is it possible to edit a page that says it's locked to prevent vandalism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by RebekahRebecca3 (talkcontribs) 17:46, 12 April 2015‎

@RebekahRebecca3:The basic way is:

Blah blah<ref>this is my reference</ref>

This will create a footnote at the bottom of the page as you often see in Wikipedia articles. If your cite is to a website, please provide more than just the url, so, the wrong way:

This is the wrong way to cite a website<ref>www.somenewssite.com/joeiscrazysaysjane/</ref>

And this is the right way:

This is the right way to cite a website</ref>www.somenewssite.com/joeiscrazysaysjane/ Mary Author, Joe is crazy says Jane, Some News company, January 2, 2015, last accessed March 12, 2015</ref>

Web sites, especially news sites, seem utterly incapable of keeping an article at the same url for more than a week, so adding more detail allows someone else to find it later when (not if) they break their website.

Thanks for editing, Oiyarbepsy (talk) 19:49, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Oh yeah, one more thing, we do have templates where you can fill in the reference data and it will format it all for you. Have at look at Template:cite, Template:cite web Template:cite news Template:cite journal among others. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 19:50, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
@RebekahRebecca3: Just thought I'd chime in here. For help with referencing, see Referencing for Beginners. You can also learn the basics of editing by checking out the playable tutorial called The Wikipedia Adventure. In response to your other question, a semi-protected page can be edited by autoconfirmed users, which is a user right that is earned after ten edits, and four days on Wikipedia with a registered account. It's basically a "first line of defense" against vandalism. However, new users who are not yet autoconfirmed can make edit requests on the article talk page. Hope that helps, and clears up some of your confusion. :) Quinto Simmaco (talk) 21:25, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

Lesenswert

the Lesenswert template looks like a variant of template:iw-ref? Frietjes (talk) 14:31, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Agreed. Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2015 April 18#Template:Lesenswert Oiyarbepsy (talk) 21:26, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
great, by the way, iw-ref is nearly orphaned. Frietjes (talk) 13:47, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Redirecting

Hope it's not a violation to redirect people who mentioned in other article.. If it's violation please tell me. IS IT?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Real Redirects (talkcontribs) 14:31, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Thank you..I stopped redirecting.. i'll try not to make mistake — Preceding unsigned comment added by Real Redirects (talkcontribs) 14:35, 19 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Spanish Lake, Missouri, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Section 8. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Ammophilinae

Hello Oiyarbepsy. I've currently (re)redirected the article Ammophilinae to its family article (Sphecidae) because it did not expand significantly upon the existing content at Sphecidae (i.e. a paltry list of genera), with the result of increasing the click burden on readers to get the same meager content. Redirecting at least allows the reader to view the six genera in light of some meaningful text. As the {{R with potential}} tag indicates, I would not be opposed to a stand-alone subfamily article that provides a comprehensive, non-redundant description of the Ammophilinae that significantly expands beyond what could be tactfully covered in the family article. I'm a proponent of building content before splits: a stepping stone of stubs is of little service to readers. Note that the nominal subfamily Sphecinae has existed as a redirect since 2004‎. Cheers and best wishes, --Animalparty-- (talk) 06:20, 26 May 2015 (UTC)
