File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:... River Passing Baffa Town.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 15:56, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Umar Farooq (RA)

edit

Hi, I see you changed Umar to Umar Farooq (RA). Wikipedia doesn't use such honorifics, so others may object. See WP:MOSISLAM#Islamic honorifics. Maybe use Umar Farooq? Thanks, Esowteric+Talk 20:40, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry but I should have left you a message about the honorifics earlier but it seems I forgot to. As to moving the article to Umar Farooq please don't do that unless you discuss it first. Originally the article was at Umar ibn al-Khattab and was moved to the current title in July 2005 after it was discussed at Talk:Umar/Archive 3#Propose move. It later was moved to Umar ibn al-Khattab without discussion and returned to Umar because there was no consensus for the move to Umar ibn al-Khattab. Now according to Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Use the most easily recognized name, Wikipedia:Naming conventions#Use common names of persons and things and Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English) the article should be at "...the most commonly used English version of the name of the subject..." which, as the convention points out is why the article about Germany is at Germany and not at Bundesrepublik Deutschland. So in English the most common name in this case is Umar and not Umar Farooq. While Umar Farooq] is probably more common than Umar ibn al-Khattab neither are as common as Umar bin al-Khattab and of course trying to search for Umar alone is a waste of time because it will list anything that has his name including the three listed above. If you want to move the article then please go to Talk:Umar and make your points there and a new consensus can be reached for the name of the article. Thanks. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Gol Masjid,Baffa Town.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Gol Masjid,Baffa Town.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
