Nomination of Democratoz for deletion
editA discussion is taking place as to whether the article Democratoz is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Democratoz until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

- Because the article is (1) written in an advertorial tone, not a neutral one, (2) referenced to unacceptable sourcing, not the reliable kind, and (3) doesn't actually make an especially strong claim of notability in the first place (it makes enough that it could be kept if the writing tone and the sourcing were cleaned up, but it doesn't make a notability claim strong enough that we would have to let it stay here just because it might become possible to clean it up — the cleanup would actually have to happen before the article could become keepable.) We're not a free publicity platform on which any band is entitled to an article just because they exist; an article has to comply with our standards of notability, referencing and writing tone before it's allowed to stay here. Democratoz
editI see your point. Would it be possible to re-publish the page after modifying its content to be conform with Wikipedia standards? I mean it is not banned from being posted again, right?
Thank you for your help "Omar Tarawneh 23:03, 16 April 2017 (UTC)"
As for the references, I have all the links to written and online press, especially for the US tour included in the article. The fact that I put Youtube videos is just because I thought that a tvinterview is a document that is taken into consideration when used as a reference.
- A TV interview can assist notability, but only if it's referenced directly to the original holder of the copyright on that interview. That is, if it's on Al Jazeera, then the reference has to be to Al Jazeera's own archived copy of it — we're not allowed to link to a YouTube copy, because YouTube isn't the holder of the copyright and so that puts us in a position of contributory copyright infringement that we can be sued for. Great. I will pay attention to these regulations and I will connect the videos to their original copyright holders. as for the phrasing and the tone of the article, I will make sure it reads neutral and objective. I see that the goal of Wikipedia is not to help advertising and we understand these regulations. The wikipedia page is very important to inform about the existence of the band and its activity, and we will avoid polishing the band and try to be as objective as we can.
If we modify the article tomorrow morning, is there a chance that you change your deletion decision?
Thanks again for the help
