Please help me with...writing/create the right code needed to create a sub-page for a new Article. For example my Middle Georgia article is Alexander II Magnet School, a historical Macon education institution that has been around for over century.

- Hi Ousainou Adeniyi: I've created the page User:Ousainou Adeniyi/Alexander II Magnet School for you. You can do something like this yourself by going to your user page (that's User:Ousainou Adeniyi) and adding
/<name of page>

Keep in mind that schools aren't automatically notable so you'll need to show where the school has received coverage in independent and reliable sources. editHi! I wanted to respond on your talk page.
- I am currently working on my Article: Alexander II Magnet School (Macon, Georgia) and I have uploaded an image of the school that I got from older assignment years ago. I vaguely remember taking photos for most of images I used for that assignment, but I am not 100% sure that this uploaded image was one of them. Will this be a big issue?
With this it depends on whether or not the image was ever uploaded online and if you were to have relinquished the right to anyone else. If it was uploaded online to a personal blog, then you would just need to file a ticket giving Wikipedia permission to use the image - I can walk you through this process. If it's uploaded and someone else has the rights, then you would need to reach out to the copyright holder and get them to file a ticket.
- Another issue related to this topic is that because I plan to dedicate a major portion of my article towards the school’s founding and historical background, I want to add more images to bring the article to live. One of my main sources is the school’s website, which contains a couple of old black and white photos that I really want to use for my article, however surprisingly, the website contains very little of its own sources and I am not sure whether those photos are open-source as I assume, but I am also aware that just because images are old, does not mean they are public domain.
With the images, it depends on age. Anything released prior to 1923 is typically in the public domain, so if the images predate 1923 then it should be OK to use. Anything released after that should be considered unusable since it would likely be considered held under copyright. Also, while the federal government does put their work into the public domain, most state and local governments do copyright their work, so we can't guarantee that the photos would be in the public domain.
Now as far as Creative Commons licenses and the open access movement goes, be cautious. Not all content released under this movement is compatible with Wikipedia. While the open source movement (which is aimed at coding and text) does allow for work to be freely adapted and used for commercial purposes, the open access movement will have some works that are released under Creative Commons licenses that specifically forbid the work from being used commercially or adapted. They only allow the material to be freely shared. As such, it's important to look for the copyright notice to see what Creative Commons license is used. If you don't see one, always assume that it's held under a very restrictive copyright and not a Creative Commons license. If it's a Creative Commons license, make sure that it doesn't have "ND" (non-derivative) or "NC" (non-commercial) attached to it. That's something that is easy to miss sometimes and was something that I initially missed when I began delving into the open access movement, so I always like to give a bit of a head's up in that area.
