Speedy deletion nomination of User:OxervEditor

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:OxervEditor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... ("Oxerv has provided services to clients in various industries, including [industry names]." "The company has been featured in [publications]." ) --OxervEditor (talk) 06:59, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:05, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

I should probably be blocking you for your user name and promotional edits, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Do not edit promotionally, or you will be blocked. Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:06, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
OK Sir! I got that. OxervEditor (talk) 07:08, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm just asking, if the page I try to make is not spam! and only informative page about Oxerv https://oxerv.com, that tells the year that firm was founded and what they do what they do provide?
Is this considered spam not informative page?
I'll not write anything before I get a clear response.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond to my inquiry. OxervEditor (talk) 07:17, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
First things first, you must make a paid-editing disclosure. Please place the {{paid}} template, appropriately filled-in, on your user page User:OxervEditor. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:26, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you DoubleGrazing for bringing this to my attention. I understand the importance of maintaining Wikipedia's neutrality and avoiding promotional content. I would like to clarify that I am the CEO and Founder of Oxerv, and my intent is to ensure the information about the company is factual and in line with Wikipedia’s guidelines.
I acknowledge your concerns and will refrain from directly editing the article to avoid any conflict of interest. Instead, I will use the Talk page to suggest improvements and rely on independent editors to review and implement any necessary changes.
Please let me know if there’s anything further I can do to ensure compliance with Wikipedia's policies. I appreciate your guidance. OxervEditor (talk) 10:24, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (This page is not unambiguously promotional because it provides factual information about Oxerv, including its history, services, and the company's role in the digital services industry. The content is supported by reliable, third-party sources, which demonstrate Oxerv's notability in the context of web design, development, SEO, and social media marketing. Block notice

edit

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or website, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I apologize for the miss understand about how I can use Wikipedia! I just want to identify Oxerv with the latest logo after re-branding, as the following; "Oxerv was founded in 2012 in the Netherlands, providing services in web design, development, SEO, social media marketing, domain names, web hosting, vps virtual private servers and dedicated servers."

"In 2021, the company made the strategic decision to close its Netherlands branch and re-brand and shift operations to Egypt, where it now operates as an officially registered entity."

I guess it's not spam, if this might need official documents like chamber of commerce registration anything I'm ready!.

I'm making it clear once again as I answered this question before, I'm the Chief Executive Officer & Founder of Oxerv, and all I seek is making an identification page for Oxerv not spam for Oxerv

Decline reason:

I'm afraid you clearly don't understand the reason for the block at all. Below, you have carefully explained how you wish to use Wikipedia to tell people how wonderful and innovative your company is: that is to say, to promote your company. Here, you have told us that you wish to use Wikipedia to publish what you call "an identification page" for your company: that is to say a page to make your company more publicly visible, in other words to promote your company. You are not going to be unblocked in order to do those things; on the contrary, the very purpose of the block is to prevent you from doing them. JBW (talk) 22:33, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
There are no "identification pages" on Wikipedia, not one. We publish encyclopaedic articles on subjects that are deemed notable. Wikipedia is not like eg. LinkedIn, where you're expected to create your own business "profile". Here the expectation is that someone entirely unconnected with your business may (or may not) one day write an article on it, if they feel there is some particular merit to it. And in that case, the article will be primarily composed by summarising what independent and reliable third parties (mainly secondary sources) have said about your business, not what you want to tell the world about it.
I won't review your block myself, I will leave it for an uninvolved administrator to do, but I just wanted to explain this as there seems to be a misunderstanding about what Wikipedia is all about. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:33, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much for taking care of this, I appreciate it.

Once again I'm glad for even who blocked me, I know you all take care of Wikipedia. OxervEditor (talk) 17:16, 23 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Dear Administrator/s,
Thank you for the polite respond which I really appreciate, but I'm talking about I needed to make people know about Oxerv to let'em see the new Invention in announcement I labeled "NEW" so it makes the most users get into and know about what I want, it's documenting a new invention that did not exist before I created it. If you really want to help me, tell me where and how to document it so it reaches to website designers to know about it.
Thank you very much in advance.

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Khaled Shahin OxervEditor (talk) 03:11, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
It is pointless arguing that you want to use Wikipedia to promote yourself and your invention, because you've already been told that isn't allowed; you will not be unblocked to do that. And if you keep posting spammy links and/or otherwise using this talk page for promotion, you will lose the right to edit this page. As a blocked user, the only edits you should be making here are to appeal your block (if that is what you wish to do), as instructed in the block notice above. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:46, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

I don't need to tell you how I think about your mind right now cause you really know how I look to your mind now! it's a way wrong than you what could ever think!
Closed mind, hating facts, hating new facts, not letting a design style from getting born!
You think you are a God now! Only blocking denying, forbidden, disallowing some one a designer like me from adding information about a new design language, What a what? you know you are! OxervEditor (talk) 07:52, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Having said you were happy to go along with our decision, you showed your true colours as soon as we removed your spam, and you are now blocked from editing this page. Deb (talk) 09:35, 25 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
