Hi P2dwight! The thread you created at the Wikipedia:Teahouse, relationship sections of one article when there is a main article of the same name and topic, has been archived because there was no discussion for a few days (usually at least two days, and sometimes four or more). You can still find the archived discussion here. If you have any additional questions that weren't answered then, please feel free to create a new thread.

You also have a User page. Many editors put content there describing their intentions and accomplishments as a Wikipedia editor. It is not intended to be a profile page. David notMD (talk) 02:23, 29 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

History of Pernambuco

edit

Hi P2dwight thank you for reaching out to me on my talk page! I may not be able to help content-wise, I don't have a proper knowledge concerning the History or the events that transpired in Pernambuco, but I try to work on copyediting and hopefully making the page more comprehensible for the general reader. I've taken a look at your recent changes and they seem to be generally constructive. The only comment I have is, between the lines, I somehow got lost or confused because of the many pauses and details.

For example, "...which occupied by Napoleon’s army, could no longer function as the metropole and, immediately no longer a colony Brazil’s ports were opened to foreign trade, government functions became America centered rather than trans-Atlantic, and countless functions and services formerly located in or focused on tiny Portugal necessarily needed to be performed in Brazil."

Maybe it's just me, on the other hand, maybe it would be better to improve it for the general reader. What do you say? Anyway just my opinion. Have a great day :) SyrOrange88 (talk) 03:04, 18 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

A Barnstar, and encouragement

  The Modest Barnstar
For focused and diligent work that is certainly much better than what I did when I first started editing, please accept this small token of appreciation. Also, a reminder to not get bogged down in the minutiae of editing; there's a whole world of information out there in countless different subjects! Sincerely, Fritzmann (message me) 12:32, 6 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
