If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- The admin that blocked you has been contacted for more input. Please be patient and await his response. Thank you. --Jayron32.talk.contribs 16:06, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- This would seem to be the relevant checkuser case (which mentions WJH1992 but not the recent account PUG406). --Abd (talk) 16:18, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Looking at the very brief Special:Contributions/PUG406 I examined every edit. The first, and only edits, outside the Talk edits responding to the block, were on 22 September 2008 from 13:32 to 13:47. Fram rolled back the edits to Rustie Lee at 13:50, also blocked the user at that time, and then modified the edits to Richard Hammond at 13:51, accepting PUG406's position that the image was too large, but accomplishing the change with default size. The single edit to Jeremy Clarkson was reverted as a "good faith edit" by User:Rodhullandemu. WJH1992 has allegedly edited Rustie Lee, as IP from range 88.111.x.x, according to Fram. See Range block User:88.111.128.0/17 (i.e., edits from this IP, if showing similarity to WJH1992 edits, can be suspected to be that user). WJH1992 has also edited Jeremy Clarkson,[1][2][3][4][5][6][], and has edited Richard Hammond extensively, I haven't examined those edits. None of the edits I looked at seemed related to the PUG406 edits.. The link in the edit (reverted by Fram) does give a birthdate for Rustie Lee as being a Director of two companies.net diff I can't find a clue in the edits themselves, beyond the coincidence of three articles, which is significant, to be sure, but also not beyond doubt. Fram seems to have stopped editing for today, and from a brief look at Fram's editing pattern, isn't likely to edit again until tomorrow. PUG406, because of the coincidence that all three articles you edited were apparent articles of interest for WJH1992, you have been reasonably suspected of being a sock puppet of that user. We'll see what Fram says, but you may be able to appeal this if you aren't the user and the account is important to you; such coincidences do happen. So, to echo Jayron32, please be patient.--Abd (talk) 17:34, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- No checkuser had been done or asked for. The chance of someone editing these three articles is small (Hammond and Clarkson are obviously related, Rustie Lee is unrelated to those two): then there is the method (changes to infoboxes): and the username PUG406 is a clear reference to the Peugeot 406, an article this user also edited and which he alreday used in a previous sock User talk:406HDi, which was not blocked by me (so I'm not the only one seeing patterns here). Note also User:DAF65CF, who self-identified as a WJH1992 sock, and other car-related socks. The three things together are more than enough to recognize this sock even with only a handful of edits.
