Welcome!

Hello, P Coie Updates, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hi there! I'm seeking guidance as to whether any adjustments to my request are needed in order for a fellow editor to implement the request. I'd very much appreciate attention to this matter. Thanks very much! P Coie Updates (talk) 22:11, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please be patient- requests are fulfilled by volunteers, doing what they can when they can. There isn't much you can do to speed up the process
I see you say you represent Adobe- if you work for them or they otherwise compensate you, the Terms of Use require you to make a formal paid editing disclosure. 331dot (talk) 23:56, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the reply. I am a lawyer with the law firm Perkins Coie LLP and Adobe is our client, so we are compensated for providing this assistance. Please let me know if you need anything else to proceed. It is very important that we get these updates made as quickly as possible because the current Wikipedia listings are outdated / inaccurate. Well, you must wait and be patient. Nothing can be done to speed things up. Quetstar (talk) 23:10, 17 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Adobe Express Redirect & Name Change

edit

Hi @Danlev, I am reaching out to you on behalf of Adobe, Inc. as its outside counsel. In light of Adobe’s recent name change of its software from “Adobe Creative Cloud Express” to “Adobe Express,” I’ve requested that the name of the “Adobe Creative Cloud Express” article be changed to “Adobe Express” to accurately reflect the renamed product. During the Wikipedia editing process, I discovered a redirect that inaccurately sends users who search for “Adobe Express” to the Adobe Photoshop Express article that you created. Your redirect prevents me from changing the Adobe Creative Cloud Express article title to “Adobe Express.” Adobe Photoshop Express has never been referred to as Adobe Express. I ask that you please delete the redirect accordingly. I would also greatly appreciate it if you would include your input on my existing request located on the talk page for Adobe Creative Cloud Express and on the WikiProject Software talk page. I appreciate your contributions in creating the Adobe Photoshop Express page. My outreach is to help ensure that Wikipedia remains up to date given its important role in informing the public. Please let me know if there is any additional information that would be helpful to you. Thanks very much for your attention to this message. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Hi, I currently patrol WP:RMC, where I saw the abovementioned related requested move discussion listed. I know you are eager to have the titles updated. However just like in the courts of law, on Wikipedia there are processes and guidelines. Most requested move discussions are typically held opened for at least 7 days. If there are not much issues and/or a consensus have been met, it would be closed by then, otherwise may be held for awhile longer (don't be surprise if it goes up to 21 days and beyond). With your COI declaration, it may be held at 14 days, depending on whether the closer would consider leaving it just a bit longer for more scrutiny. Other than the opened discussion, I suggest that you let your superiors/client know that there is a waiting time and to come back on this task in a week or so. Dropping in an {{edit request}} template may not help much as many of the editors patrolling the queue there are also likely swarmed with requests on top of their daily lifes. – robertsky (talk) 14:45, 20 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
