Fair use images

edit

Please do not upload copyright-protected images of living persons under a fair use rationale. Images of living persons cannot be claimed under fair use policy as they nearly always fail non-free content criteria number 1, specifically "No free equivalent. Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose." As long as it is possible that there could be a free image of the subject available for use, or there could be one available in the future, then fair use cannot be claimed for the copyrighted images. Problems with upload of File:Deborah Herold.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Deborah Herold.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. Speedy deletion nomination of Randeep Rai

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Randeep Rai requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi there, re: this edit, do not copy is a basic concept in academia. We do not copy content from other sources like here. All prose must be written from scratch in your own words. Wikipedia does not tolerate plagiarism or copyright violations, and this is something that can very easily result in your editing privileges being interrupted. Thank you. March 2018

edit

Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Jannat Zubair Rahmani, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The source cited only gives an age, not a specific birthday.C.Fred (talk) 18:11, 13 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Jannat Zubair Rahmani, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diff: [1] If you plan to edit Wikipedia articles, especially about living people, you must familiarise yourself with our biographies for living people guidelines, as well as our guidelines for reliable sources. I'm not sure why you think starsunfolded.com is a suitable reference, but it is not. We only care what sources with established reputations for fact-checking and accuracy have to say about any given subject, and there's no indication starsunfolded meets that minimum criterion. See WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources for an example of sources that are and are not suitable for inclusion. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:20, 24 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
