I noticed that you have posted comments in a language other than English. At the English-language Wikipedia, we try to use English for all comments. Posting all comments in English makes it easier for other editors to join the conversation and help you. If you cannot avoid using another language, then please provide a translation into English, if you can. If you cannot provide a translation, please go to the list of Wikipedias, look in the list for a Wikipedia that is in your language, and edit there instead of here. I apologise for being unclear. Please use English when you communicate with other users on English Wikipedia, on talk pages and in edit summaries. Your edit summary here is impossible to understand for a majority of your fellow editors. If you find it difficult to use English, it might be more constructive for you to contribute to a Wikipedia version in your native language. --bonadea contributions talk 12:16, 7 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ambasth Kayasthas origin known since Dwapar yug Mahabharat

edit

The Ambashtha Kayasthas (found chiefly in Southern Bihar), Crooke suggests "may be connected with the old Ambastha caste of Western-Punjab mentioned in the Mahabharata" as some Kayasthas are also associated with the practice of medicine and surgery.[1][2]

Please add the above over there in the Ambasth Kayasth page in the 1st para and also in the last para of the "Mythology and Varna status section".

My version includes the additional word"Western-Punjab" with proper reference.

I don't want to add this currently as I'm in dispute with him. He'll revert it immediately.

He'll revert your "In Bengal" addition over there. Just wait and watch. Dinopce (talk) 12:07, 7 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sorry. The reference that I provided is showing you the 2 msgs above.

"Citing the Hindu text Parasara, Leslie mentions that the Ambastha is supposed to treat the Brahmins only, and hence considered as "a clean caste, definitely below the brahman, but certainly well within the twice-born group".[6] This differentiates the Ambasthas from the average Vaidyas, who were considered "unclean" and were denied the status accorded to the Ambastha.[6]."

The above is the 2nd para of Mythology and Varna status.

He's calling Baidyas or Vaidyas UNCLEAN using some reference of the book. What was the need to add such things in the first place?!!

The Vaidyas(Baidyas) are considered Bhadralok or belonging to the gentry class.

He's also making changes in the Baidya page of Wikipedia. Dinopce (talk) 12:30, 7 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Pandya,

Regarding the change made by you in the mythology and Varna status of Ambasth Kayasth.

You've added the words'Western-punjab'

But I think you have changed the wordings of the sentence.

The sentence should be THE SAME AS IT IS WRITTEN IN THE REFERENCE AND SOURCE THAT YOU PROVIDED.

IF YOU'LL CHANGE THE WORDINGS,THEN IT MEANS YOU'RE TWISTING THE LINES WHICH WERE NOT GIVEN IN THE SOURCE.

UNDERSTOOD.

The Ambashtha Kayasthas (found chiefly in Southern Bihar), Crooke suggests "may be connected with the old Ambastha caste of Western-Punjab mentioned in the Mahabharata" as some Kayasthas are also associated with the practice of medicine and surgery.[1] Dinopce (talk) 17:26, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

The above is the exact sentence provided in the site reference. If you're twisting the wordings, then it means it can be reverted. Dinopce (talk) 17:28, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Oh. Sorry. My mistake Pandya.

Wikipedia stresses upon writing in your own words. Just give the reference and you're done. Your wordings are correct.

Once again. Sorry.

Keep on writing. Dinopce (talk) 17:59, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing.

Again: please use English to communicate. Talk page comments such as this and this are not constructive as the absolute majority of your fellow editors cannot understand them. You indicated above that you understood this.

In addition, you have to assume good faith and not accuse your fellow editors of, e.g., lying, as you did in the second of the comments linked above. bonadea contributions talk 18:24, 7 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you purposefully and blatantly harass fellow Wikipedian(s) again, as you did at User talk:Srivastava101, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.

And you still write in Hindi despite repeated requests to USE ENGLISH. bonadea contributions talk 07:48, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Pandya101, I hope you understand that this is English Wikipedia, and you will need to speak English in all your comments. That's true even on talk pages of other users who speak Hindi. Please see WP:SPEAKENGLISH. I see that you have been asked to do this several times already. Will you try to follow this rule? Thanks. --IamNotU (talk) 13:59, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

I try. My english not very good. So talk page in hindi. I try rule again. Pandya101 (talk) 15:35, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Kayastha. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. Money emoji💵Talk💸Help out at CCI! 16:21, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your English not being good...

edit

Hi Pandya,

I saw that an administrator sent you a msg regarding your English. I want to help in my own way.;)

https://translate.google.co.in/#view=home&op=translate&sl=hi&tl=en

Use the above site to type in Hindi. It'll translate in English. After that copy/paste the English translation into the editor portion below will check for the grammar mistakes.

https://www.grammarcheck.net/editor/

After this you can copy the final text in wikipedia sites if you want.

I hope I helped in my own way. Bye :) Dinopce (talk) 17:16, 8 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Jalebi, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Julietdeltalima (talk) 00:52, 9 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Pandya101, not every single edit requires a citation, but anything that may be questioned or challenged by others generally does. In addition to the edit reverted by Julietdeltalima, I reverted this edit: [1] for that reason. Also, I'm sorry but I had to revert some other edits because of the poor English, as I and other readers could not understand what it should mean, and there were no citations to explain it. --IamNotU (talk) 17:49, 9 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ok. Will do less edit. Pandya101 (talk) 07:42, 13 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you purposefully and blatantly harass fellow Wikipedian(s) again, as you did at User:Srivastava101, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.

Do not under any circumstances edit other editors' user pages. (That is in addition to the fact that what you added was offensive.) bonadea contributions talk 09:02, 13 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Did you seriously just make another personal attack against the same user on this very page? Do not attack other users. Not here, not on the talk pages of third parties (which is what you were warned about before), not anywhere on Wikipedia. Your most recent attack has been removed. --bonadea contributions talk 10:20, 13 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Kashmiri Pandit, you may be blocked from editing. — MarkH21talk 18:19, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

U see source there. It said indirectly best. If u problem I copy exact line then. Pandya101 (talk) 18:23, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Sir tell me if source words exact copy or not. Now edit cancel saying exact words not aloud. Thank u. Pandya101 (talk) 19:27, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Pandya101, your first edit was reverted by MarkH21 because it did not follow the neutral point of view policy. Writing "they are the best" seems to be a personal opinion that is too promotional, see WP:PEACOCK. It is not what the source says - it says they are very influential, which is very different. Wikipedia editors must summarize accurately what the sources say.
The second edit was reverted by me because it did not follow the copyright policy and plagiarism guidelines as described in WP:PARAPHRASE. Wikipedia editors must write and summarize sources in their own words, though limited quotations are allowed if they are attributed. See WP:PLAGIARISM and WP:INTEXT. I hope that answers your question.
PS, if you want to speak to someone on your talk page, use a {{User}} or {{Reply}} template so they will receive a notification, see: Help:Notifications. --IamNotU (talk) 20:17, 20 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Kashmiri Pandit into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. I see that you copied the same text to Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu, Kayastha, Parsis, Chitpavan, and Nagar Brahmin. All of those articles require attribution.
