Ditton
editYou're doing good work there in expanding the article. Do you think you will be able to format website references using {{cite web}}? It's not that complicated really, you can generally get away with {{cite web |url= |title= |publisher= |accessdate= }}, adding in any of the other parameters as necessary. Let me know if you don't yet feel able to do this and I'll sort the refs out. Mjroots (talk) 09:11, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
- It's coming on nicely, but there's still a few ref issues. What say that I sort these out at 19:00 tonight. I'll add {{inuse}} to the page so that you know to steer clear whilst I'm sorting things. After all is done, I'll assess the article. It's looking as though it could be a solid B class article once you've finished. Mjroots (talk) 12:03, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Yes that would be good. I have finished working through the web references so any sorting out you can do will be useful. I won't do any more work on the page till tomorrow. Thanks Panoramaxism (talk) 12:52, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
- I've done the necessary. To use a reference more than once, you need to give it a name. See WP:REFNAME for details of how this little trick works. Mjroots (talk) 17:19, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Excellent, I shall use that again. I saw you had finished so started working on the article. Thanks again for your help.
- I'd noticed the pair of you working away, but you've now added too much non-Ditton info. Was going to wait until the pair of you had finished, will give the article a good look over tomorrow. As for getting above B class, the article would need to go through a Good Article Review - see WP:GA for details of the GA process. Mjroots (talk) 19:10, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you. Any comments most welcome.Panoramaxism (talk) 05:41, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Multiple accounts?
editHello, are you the same person as User:Shaibalahmar? If so, having multiple accounts is permitted (see WP:Multiple Accounts for legitimate uses) but there are certain rules to be followed if you do have more than one account (see Wikipedia:Sock puppetry#Inappropriate uses of alternative accounts). For example, you shouldn't make edits to the same article using more than one account, when it gives the appearance that you are more than one person. You should (unless there is good reason not to) clearly link the multiple accounts on your user pages so that no one is misled. Apologies if you are separate people, there just seems to be a significant amount of overlap in your editing history.--BelovedFreak 11:55, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing this out. I created different accounts to try and keep my fields of interest separate. Unfortunately there have been quite a few times when I have been so engrossed in the subject that I have forgotten to switch user names so I will definitely link accounts now. I'm not entirely sure how you do this apart from making a note on each user page - if there is something more I have to do, do let me know.Panoramaxism (talk) 12:15, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
- That should be fine, but it's best to try to keep to just one account per article. It looks like your mostly editing the "mainspace" (actual articles as opposed to behind the scenes Wikipedia pages), but if in the future you take part in discussions about deleting articles or anything like that, it's even more important that you don't give the appearance of being more than one person. Good work on the Ditton article by the way, I was admiring that when I noticed your two accounts! --BelovedFreak 12:23, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
- I think I will just use one user name from now on - Shaibalahmar. I have linked the user names so there is a historical record. And thanks for your comments about Ditton.Shaibalahmar (talk) 12:45, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
