Hello, I'm Chris troutman. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 8th Infantry Division (United States), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. I was in Cco 3BN 8th INF out of Mainz Gonsenheim. as such from my time, Jan 1989- july 1991, my barracks room was right below my room. they had a quonset hut building for their HQ. 4/34 armor and they deactivated at the end of desert storm. they left their M1 abrams in the gulf and came back to put process and PCS to other assignments.

5/8 deactivated before or at the beginning of desert shield/storm and most of them got sent to Desert Shield/ Storm — Preceding unsigned comment added by Papa-1968 (talkcontribs) 03:21, 9 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

We can't take your word for any of that. Wikipedia requires verifiability. That means you have to find a published, reliable source to cite for any content you want to add. I can understand this might be frustrating but if we allowed random people on the internet to write whatever they claimed was true our encyclopedia wouldn't be trustworthy. I recommend you reach out to a journalist to write your story in a newspaper or magazine. You cannot write your own narrative here. Chris Troutman (talk) 07:33, 9 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
