editCan you give us a source that he was actually in the army? Czolgolz 01:11, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- hum, in fact, i just correct the wikitable here. Dealing with this possible russian vet, you'll have to speak to user:24.151.71.246 edit who added him on this page... That's all. Bye user:Paris75000 01:23, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Civility
editThis is unacceptable. Swearing unnecessarily (even in other languages) is frowned upon. Please don't do it again. --Deskana (talk) (review me please) 01:44, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- okay i will respect it, nevertheless, I'm a bit upset to the bahavior of the User talk:R9tgokunks moreover I'm not the first one to revert his work on the article Alsace. This last reversion was to much and i correctly accept that during the reversion I was totaly upset, but I had some reason how can people who are at thousands of miles away from Alsace to think that Alsace still is a part of Germany, or it should be?... while some others, like me, are living in this french land. user:Paris75000 01:53, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Category:Jewish converts to Christianity
editHi, I have removed the speedy delete tag from this category. As you point out, religion is a topic of hot debate. Because of this, if you think the category should be deleted, please start a discussion at WP:CFD. Thanks, Mallanox 20:56, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hi I'm not sure why you would say this category crosses over the private line- the information is already at List_of_notable_converts_to_Christianity#From_Judaism which also lists people converted from every other religion. Regards Gustav von Humpelschmumpel 21:01, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well, for me, I really think that our religious behavior is too personnal (my french and laic education could explain it) ; but in this tiny way, it's quite hard to put it IN a encycolpedia : we do have to remind that not far from us, just about 60 years ago, it existed a legal extremist political party which for religious purposes tried to lead to death a entire race (I really hate this word, beacause for me there is only one race : the human one). To allay your fears, I really know that Wikipedia is a millions years from this situation, nevertheless, to categorize people simply according to their religious behavior could have, by implication in our international backdrop and by this particular past, a deleterious efect. For all this reasons, I was hoping to not have to start a discussion at WP:CFD. Sincerily user:Paris75000 21:34, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
with Palme
editHi- thanks for your message- it appears the Palme used for the Belgian awards is slightly different to the French (see Talk:Order of Léopold). Regards Gustav von Humpelschmumpel 12:35, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hi
- Yep you're right : in France, a palm is the higher acknowledgement for the Croix de guerre (it's mainly for heroic and single acts on the warzone) while in Belgium, their palm fot the croix de guerre meant it was awarded to a military person for action during wartime. This difference seems to be noted somewhere to draw correctly the line.

Raymond Cambefort
editI think you miss the point completely with Raymond Cambefort. First, only France and Italy had 'time requirements' to be considered a WWI veteran. Had Raymond served for the UK, he would be recognized and honored as a WWI vet. France is cutting off its nose to spite its face. Please consider also that if he served only 2 1/2 months, well the war ended, didn't it? I think you should honor him for signing up early (i.e. before 19, age of conscription) rather than pooh-poohing his 'official' status. Note also the French government changed policy and accepted Rene Riffaud and Francois Jaffre. Plus there's an anonymous poilus or two that they don't have listed.R Young {yakłtalk} 20:20, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Alsacien au café
editBonjour, il y a un utilisateur anglais qui prétend qu'en Alsace les gens parlent alsacien dans les cafés. Si tu n'es pas d'accord tu peux laisser un message ici: Talk:List of languages by number of native speakers#French_language.
Godefroy 17:25, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
editHello Paris75000! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 319 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Paris75000. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Paris75000~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
