Thanks re my nonGold mistake (Mission Continues)
editSomething seemed odd when I looked at the post (mis)edit window. Thanks. The Goldman Sachs donation was something I had planned on doing yesterday but got delayed/distracted. Once again, thanks. Nuts240 (talk) 02:45, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- No problem, I'm newer to editing so I wasn't positive if it was vandalism because your account looked pretty legit, thanks for the message. Partey Lover (talk) 03:01, 9 August 2024 (UTC)

editPlease do not add or change content, as you did at TARDIS, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. C F A 💬 03:20, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- Are citations necessary for every single sentence and paragraph in a page? Genuine question, I am a new wikipedia editor. I wasn't the one who made the original edit, but I saw you rolled it back, and I thought it was a relevant piece of info. There are other pieces of information that do not have a cited source on the same page. Partey Lover (talk) 03:22, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- First of all, welcome to Wikipedia! The answer is generally yes. Editors should be able to find out where the information came from and if it is true easily with a citation. They are much more important in biographies of living people, but yes, you should aim for at least one citation that backs up the information per paragraph on any page. There are some exceptions, like for plot summaries, but most additions do require citations. Happy editing, C F A 💬 03:27, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
Quick question
editDid you intend to undo Cluebot here? — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 04:11, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- I meant to undo the change Cluebot already made, and accidently re-added the vandalism, sorry bro bro Partey Lover (talk) 04:13, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- Not a problem; just checking. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 04:14, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
Question 8/9
editIs there a reason you marked my edit to my own passed company as vandalism? I've been updating it to be current IWF Promotions and my first champion is running for congress & is fully ware of this update. Halbeisen80023 (talk) 06:40, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, I marked the edit as vandalism because it looked like out of place self advertising. From my knowledge, a wikipedia page is only supposed to have information relevant to the organization or person listed, and usually should not be edited by the persons being referenced in the page itself. With that being said, I am new to editing, and I am not 100% positive on this; or the general policy on self advertising. There is a possibility I was incorrect in removing it. Best of luck to you on your campaign. Partey Lover (talk) 06:49, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- I have so many people listed on that page as I was a pro wrestling promoter for years. So there are endless people to reference from passed to present. I just haven't look at this page in years & a few people had asked me to try & update it. No problems at all, maybe in the future please be cautious as my user name reflects the page in reference on said page just a little reading could have solved confusion. Not my campaign but I do wish him the best as well. Again thank you & no harm done and after so long maybe I need to read up on new policies myself. Take care. Marking revisions as "vandalism"
editHello Partey Lover,
I really appreciate your work on reverting bad faith edits. Keep it up!
I would like to let you know that on Twinkle, the vandalism feature is intentionally used for quick reverting vandalism.
However, I understand that you are a new contributor with 300+ edits in 5 days.
However, if its not vandalism (like mass removal of content, only once), I would recommend using the "rollback" feature, or if the edit is good faith, I would recommend using the "rollback (AGF)" feature.
Both of those features have optional edit summaries, not required.
Addition to that, it does not mean you did anything wrong with your editing, but I would recommend taking a look at the WP:MEATBOT policy and take it slowly, also reading the diffs before making reverts, since its just the speed of your contributions of reverting and notifying the user on their talk page.
If I misunderstood, I would appreciate if you would let me know.
I'm just only letting you know about some tips and tricks about reverting edits, that's all.
Thanks and keep going!

- Thanks for the message, I was only using the vandalism button instead of the rollback feature because I assumed they did the same exact thing, I'll start putting reasons from now on Partey Lover (talk) 06:58, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
- No worries, we never know if they will keep adding the same content back or not. In edit summaries, you don't always need to provide a reason when reverting bad faith edits. Again, keep going!PEPSI697 (talk) 07:03, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
