Islamic images and other guidelines
editPlease take a look through Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Islam-related articles to see in general how things are done on Islamic pages. For the most part this falls under Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not censored, which states in the final sentence "Any rules that forbid members of a given organization, fraternity, or religion to show a name or image do not apply to Wikipedia because Wikipedia is not a member of those organizations." If you want to see how this came about there is Talk:Muhammad/images/Archive 1 which continues on for another 26 or 27 pages. If you were to go to the Muhammad you can see that the first image is his name. However, if you scroll down the page there are images of Muhammad and not all have his face covered. There are other articles where Muhammad and other members of his family are portrayed. If you wish to report me then please feel free to do so. Thanks. - Wikipedia is not an Islamic encyclopaedia. There are plenty of images on various religious articles throughout Wikipedia such as Jesus and Abraham. I am sure that in this day and age nobody is stupid enough to think that a given image on a page is an accurate representation of a person or place. The images just represent what a particular artist thought at a particular period in time. Are you intending to remove all the images of Muhammad? The thing is that the images are not going to be removed just because they are offensive, which I suspect is your real reason for the removal, to some Muslims. editYour recent editing history at Jannah shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Dolescum (talk) 16:31, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
