- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}

Hello, I'm Timtrent. I noticed that you made a comment that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Your edits to User talk:Julietdeltalima are unacceptable 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 17:51, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Timtrent I asked her she thought she was deleting an accurate addition I made. She just deleted my whole work because she objected to me writing 'is he'. There was nothing wrong with my addiction it was factually accurate. I appreciate the difference in English-speaking countries have differences in their sentence structure and words used. If she had a problem with my addition she could have messaged me about it. But instead, she just deleted my work completely, she could have even changed the wording of the one sentence she had an issue with. But no she deleted the whole thing. So I asked her who she thought she was to delete my work and then tell me the very petty reason why. No, one else would have deleted it for the reason given. She believes she is right and everyone else is wrong and everything should be done as she says. I am not a toddler and I will challenge anyone who treats me like this lady did. All because I wrote 'is he'.
- I appreciate you contacting me. But I never swore at her or made threats. I simply asked Why she thought it was OK to do what she did.
- I hope I have explained the matter properly I am still angry now after all the time I spent writing the addition and fact-checking. To be told I can use 'is he' in an encyclopedia. If you want to discuss this further please message me. I am happy to discuss anything with anyone.
- Thanks

- What you saw as acceptable was not. We have a process here, WP:BRD. You edited, they reverted. Now you discuss it. Your words were not discussion, your words were angry. Angry words are wholly unacceptable. We have a policy here, WP:CIVIL. Please conduct yourself with dignity and decorum. When you are angry, step away form the keyboard.
- When ready to return to the keyboard, enter properly into the BRD process.
- You appear to be misunderstanding the concept of 'your work'. Below my reply to you, as I type it, I see:
- By clicking "Reply", you agree to our Terms of Use and agree to irrevocably release your text under the CC BY-SA 4.0 Licenseand GFDL. You agree that a hyperlink or URL is sufficient attribution under the Creative Commons license.
- This means that the moment I hit reply it is no longer my work. It becomes 'our work', and others may edit or delete it as they see fit (we have special conventions for talk pages). I may discuss that, not only with the editor who changed what I typed, but with the community as a whole, but I may not express any anger I may have in the discussions. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 06:53, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
- I take issue with this edit of yours. I also note that you said "who the he'll do you think you are. There are lots of people talk and complaining about you in forums. You think you're right all the time." to Julietdeltalima and above said " I never swore at her or made threats. I simply asked Why she thought it was OK to do what she did.". I find the assertion you made here, once to me and again to Knitsey to be at variance with the unpleasant message you left for Julietdeltalima. Please rein im your anger and raise your game. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 07:05, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:Julietdeltalima. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Knitsey (talk) 17:57, 13 August 2023 (UTC)

- You introduced a red link. Red links mean there is no Wikipedia article, meaning it isn't notable. You've just done it again. Did you mean 97 Minutes?
- I don't know every film ever made. Nobody does. I would have deleted it too.
- It is up to you to format your edits correctly. On this occassion, I will insert the correct link to the article. Knitsey (talk) 08:50, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hi,
- Yes, thanks for that I was having trouble doing the link correctly. I'm still learning. Thanks again for your assistance. Paulmlaforge (talk) 03:57, 3 October 2023 (UTC)
