A note

By the way I just now did a very brief first version (a "stub") of an article on Nevis Historical and Conservation Society and I made sure that all the other mentions of NHCS in other Wikipedia articles are now linked to it. Please change it or add to it in whatever way you like. Have at it!!! I will keep an eye on it and "wikify" it as necessary as we go along.

Speedy deletion of Strabon-Caraibes Project

A tag has been placed on Strabon-Caraibes Project requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Explanation

Hi Paul, I did not see it, but your (presumably very short stub) article on the Strabon-Caraibes project was speedy deleted because it did not explain what the project is and why it is important. You could have saved it as described above, but I guess you did not look on Wikipedia in time to realize that the article was in trouble. You can request that the article be reinstated, but only if you intend to expand it. If you need help with trying to get it back again, ask me. In general, if you want to make a very simple start on an article that cannot stand on its own, then you should do that on a subpage of your user page, and not put it up until it is at least vaguely respectable looking. And in general it's a good idea to check Wikipedia pretty often to see if you have messages and to see how your new articles are holding up. Best to you, Invertzoo (talk) 14:26, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Hey Paul, Did you get the copy of the paper I (Susan Hewitt) left for you at NHCS a few weeks ago? It was my paper about the shells that Rev Smith mentioned in "A Natural History of Nevis".
