Marc Douglas Berardo

edit

Hi "PerformerResearch",

I see that you have been doing lots of good work on improving Marc Douglas Berardo. Great job!. I have also, however, noticed that it is the only article that you've been editing since joining Wikipedia. There's nothing really wrong with that of course; we all work on articles that interest us. Just be aware that sometimes single-purpose accounts and the articles they edit are scrutinized a little more rigorously than others. Please understand that I am certainly not accusing you of doing anything improper. I just thought it might be a good idea for you (and for the "Marc Douglas Bernardo" article) to spread yourself around a little more (so to speak) and try improving some other articles too. Just a suggestion.   - Marchjuly (talk) 08:30, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi "Marchjuly"

Why thanks for the suggestion. I am very new to Wikipedia. I have so much to learn. I created the article and when it was published there were suggestions for me to improve it. I was working on references and notability. It also says something about Widows and Orphans. It is taking me a while to figure that out. I guess I was trying to get it in better shape before I move on to something else.

I also have some additional articles I would like to write. Also, I would be interested in moving to something else. Is there a help topic that gives guidance to reviewing other articles?

I really appreciate your feedback. Performer Research PerformerResearch (talk) 13:37, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

No worries PerformerResearch. I understand exactly where you're coming from. It's sometimes hard to stop editing a particular article, especially one you have created, when you feel so much still needs to be done. Improvements, however, don't have to be made in one fell swoop. It's OK to take your time and it's also OK to step back and let someone else do some of the heavy lifting. There are lots of articles that need help. You might find the WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors interesting. The people in that WikiProject just spend their time looking for articles to improve. It might be good practice and less stressful than creating a new article.
Regarding orphaned articles, I'm not sure if you saw my reply to your Teahouse question "Categories and orphans". Basically, you have to find other Wikipedia articles to link to "Marc Douglas Berardo". This seems hard, but it's not really. You can probably find more specific details and help regarding orphans here at the WikiProject Orphanage. Good luck. - Marchjuly (talk) 14:17, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
