1 trying to create a talk message, 2 help with a "disclaimer" issue???

edit

Hello, I'm reintroducing myself to creating a message on my talk page. {{helpme}} WP:TALK#CREATE I have made edits to a page for a Wikipedia topic on a museum. I also belong to the nonprofit organization as a committee member, that owns the property (a museum). It has been difficult to explain Wikipedia to highest officer in our state organization. Obviously I am a newbie contributor, but I understand basic HTML coding, basics for coding edits, and the overall purpose and function of wikipedia. I also understand that Wikipedia, generally discourages edits from someone associated with that organization. I/we are not trying to contribute controversial content, it is just that we have a significant amount of research and information, that is not compiled anywhere else, such as we have it at this time. So my purpose is to add edits that connect historical documentation as it relates to the significance of this museum. The Issue i would like help on is about a disclaimer. The state officer believes that we should be able to put our organizations disclaimer on the page for the museum. The disclaimer comes from the national organization and is meant for national, state and local websites and social media pages. Can anyone help me figure out how to explain to her why the org disclaimer is not necessary, not appropriate, not allowed??? Thank you for any help, links, comments that point me in the right direction! Perrywattleworth (talk) 18:31, 21 July 2014 (UTC)PerrywattleworthReply
