editI'm not sure why you would choose a username like "PersecutedUser" but we can persecute you if earn our ignominy. I assume that you're a sock of another user, in which case you will be found out and blocked. If my assessment of you is true, please just leave now and save us all some time. If not, then let's talk.
I notice you've been on a tear removing Category:Hungarian monarchs and replacing it with Category:Kings of Hungary because Hungarian monarchs was placed in the Category:Roman Catholic monarchs, all without any prior discussion except one user talk page. This is unwise. People like Maximilian II, Holy Roman Emperor were Hungarian monarchs. That category likely exists rather than have separate categories for kings, queens, princes, etc. of Hungary. Just because one or two of those monarchs weren't Catholic doesn't mean you should unilaterally change categories.
So, you can stop and discuss, or we'll go to ANI, you'll be blocked and your changes reverted. Chris Troutman (talk) 22:58, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
- @User:Chris troutman - The change was made per Wikipedia:Be bold. 99% of the changes here are made unilaterally, so I don't understand your hostility. Of course that I am ready to discuss this if there are objections, you don't need to threated me with reports. I created the category Category:Kings of Hungary while having the pattern Category:Kings of France. The supercategory is Category:European kings. I also created Category:Queens regnant of Hungary which is a subcat of Category:Queens regnant (similarly to Category:Queens regnant in the British Isles). I removed Category:Hungarian monarchs from those articles per WP:SUBCAT: "A page or category should rarely be placed in both a category and a subcategory or parent category (supercategory) of that category (unless the child category is non-diffusing).".
- PS Initially I hadn't expected that there will be needed 2 different categories (Kings and Queens), but after a number of changes I noticed that we also have 2 queens (Mary, Queen of Hungary and Maria Theresa) and I chose this instead of reverting everything. PersecutedUser (talk) 06:24, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Why? Just because you are empowered to empty out a category you seem to not like and replace with another does not mean you should. I see no logical reason for the change. Don't claim that SUBCAT forces you to remove a category; you created the child category, and for what? Unless I see good reason for the change, I'm going to start reverting all your changes. Then we can discuss on an applicable talk page and maybe request for comment. If you have a good reason, let's hear it.
- So you know, a rapid series of changes catches my attention in a way that incremental changes do not. The last time I caught someone making mass category changes like this, the editor was a POV warrior and a sockpuppet. While this situation isn't the same, my "hostility" comes from experience and gut instinct. Chris Troutman (talk) 06:35, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
- User:Chris troutman This is not about liking and not liking a category. This is about organizing cateogries in a more tidy way. I already gave you the motivation for this category creation: the existence of Category:European kings.
If you are so allergic at this new category, I ask you myself to revert those changes (hopefully you have a mass-reverting tool, cause making those changes was quite time-consuming). I assure you that I won't add this stuff back.PersecutedUser (talk) 07:02, 25 June 2014 (UTC)- Per this request, I have reverted all the recatagorisations. --Mdann52talk to me! 14:31, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

- Ok. Thank you for your effort to compromise. I've started this discussion to help determine consensus. Please make your case there as I'm not going to join that conversation. Chris Troutman (talk) 17:01, 25 June 2014 (UTC)
