You've got the reference and I don't, so if you want to put it back in you can. But the use of "St Andrew's Cross" by the source you cite is hopelessly misleading (I presume it was a British author, using it as a generic term to mean "saltire", in which case "saltire" is better - unless the source says there is some actual historical association with St Andrew?). The markings were the normal markings of the Nationalist Air Force; they appeared because the Nationalists used the Cross of Burgundy as an emblem, as Spanish armed forces have done for centuries. But as I say I don't have reference right now. Maybe I will look for one later. Slac speak up! 23:55, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
