Nicole draft feedback

edit

Hi, Christina! This draft has some really strong additions! Some pieces that stand out to me in it are:

  • expansion into new sections that remain closely/directly relevant to article topic is a really good approach here
  • the level of information you've added so far maintains a good level of detail
  • the image you've added is clear and helpful

Some things to think about as you continue your work on this article:

  • prevention and treatment is an excellent addition...but wikihow is not an excellent source. Can you find supporting information for this section from a more authoritative source on plants, nursery stock, etc.? There are some excellent plant disease sources through county extension offices and college/university programs readily available online, and you might also look in the horticulture-specific database in the CCC library's list of databases. You may find other information in these places as well that will help you continue adding to this article
  • cite a source at the end of each sentence where you make a statement of fact, rather than just at the end of the paragraph
  • near the end of the prevention and treatment section, the tone shifts from a neutral tone (appropriate for an encyclopedia entry) to a "how to" tone that gives instructions to the reader. You will want to shift this language away from a "how to" purpose and back to the encyclopedia tone

I hope these notes are helpful, and I look forward to seeing the final version of this!Nicoleccc (talk) 06:06, 14 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
