below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. MastCell Talk 05:45, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Alternate accounts are not to be used for project-space discussions. Please use your main account to comment at WP:AN/I if you wish to continue to do so. I've left the autoblock disabled as a courtesy. MastCell Talk 05:45, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Request reason:
Ok. I will try to abide by WP:GAB suggestions. My block is wrong because I am not a sockpuppet. I have no alternate account. The block reason states that I am 'clearly not a new editor.' This is true. I have edited from IPs before. I have not edited from any other named account. I obviously can't give you hard evidence; you really just have to take my word for it. For what it's worth, I have edited with IP 96.19.148.63. I have always behaved in the past and I will continue to behave in the future. Thanks.
Decline reason:
This looks like a "bad hand" account to me. The edits made from this account have been mildly disruptive at ANI. But the clincher for me is Luk's revelation that the account lied about their IP, and is using a proxy. Being disruptive and being deceptive aren't the way to get unblocked. I also see no acknowledgment of problematic edits like this one. -- Atama頭 17:53, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Can you tell us what IPs you have used in the past, then, so we know what's going on? If you're not comfortable responding here on this page, then feel free to email me. –MuZemike 07:46, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- My IP address right now is 96.19.148.63. I'm not sure how dynamic it is but it seems to have most of my most recent edits. A few years back I primarily edited at college, but I have no idea what that IP is. PhoenixPhan (talk) 07:55, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- For a user who "occasionally" IP edits over the years, your very first edit on your "first and only account" shows an amazingly advanced grasp of WP and editors. I would dare say that this admin noticeboard is a very rare choice for a new (non-sock) account to edit for the first time... Doc9871 (talk) 08:30, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Well, Doc, I only occasionally edit, but that doesn't really mean anything. I have been reading Wikipedia long enough to stumble upon policies, AN/I, AfD, etc. At the threat of sounding too experienced, may I invoke WP:AGF and WP:BITE here? Granted I'm not a newcomer, but you really shouldn't be biting anyone, not just the newcomers. Thanks. PhoenixPhan (talk) 08:42, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- You think I'm biting you, really? Interesting. I'd suggest reading WP:GAB if you're interested in getting yourself unblocked; you know about this though, right? You seem to know lots about policy for a newer editor, and trying to get off of your indefinite block should be your highest priority right now... Doc9871 (talk) 08:54, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Well, you are not 'biting' me, but the original block was certainly an assumption of bad faith. I was assumed to have been too knowledgeable and thus a sock. If that isn't a textbook example of bad faith then I don't know what is. And I am trying to appeal my block by answering questions posed by administrators. I provided my IP, I answered your question, and I'm trying to do it politely, but my patience is wearing thin. I will put my reasoning in the unblock template and hopefully my block will be reversed. Thanks. PhoenixPhan (talk) 09:05, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification about the "biting". While I am not an administrator, I am very well-acquainted with certain aspects of WP. Your reasoning for unblocking is certainly better than it was before (though it should be noted that 96.19.148.63 has clearly never commented on the AN/I page, or anywhere near it). On which articles were your previous experiences with PCHS-NJROTC, I would be interested to know? Why are your edits and 96.19.148.63's so dissimilar? Why did you not just use 96.19.148.63 to make the edits that got you blocked? Inquiring minds want to know... Doc9871 (talk) 09:34, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- Doc, this isn't 20 questions. I've requested unblock and I will wait for an admin to process that request. If he/she would like an answer to any of the questions that you posed, I will oblige. Otherwise, I would appreciate it if you just stayed out of this situation. Bedtime. PhoenixPhan (talk) 09:57, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

- You're correct. I'll leave further comments up to the admins. You know I don't have to stay out of it, of course, but I will absolutely respect your request, and will not comment here again. "Good night, and good luck..." Doc9871 (talk) 10:01, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- ...and I would actually like an answer to the question. The refusal to discuss almost led me to decline. You're always responsible to all editors - admins or not. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 10:19, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not making the connection, either. That ip has made lots of small, useful edits- mostly rephrasings, single-sentence additions of facts, small corrections... it's been a useful editor on a small scale. But this account seems to exist solely to criticize administrators who, as far as I can see, never even had conflicts with the ip. Is there more context that would help me understand this? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 15:00, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- It appears that the User:PhoenixPhan account was only created to participate in some dialogs with admins at ANI. It has no edits before March 1. There is no past editing record that is at stake. As such, I can see no reason why an unblock of this account should be considered. EdJohnston (talk) 16:50, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

- Just FYI, this user is not using 96.19.148.63 (talk • contribs • info • WHOIS) but rather an open proxy. -- Luk talk 17:09, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
