Hello, Phoenixauthor, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted (if it hasn't already).

- If you think you meet the WP:CORP notability guidelines, it might be better to work on a draft of an article in your own user space, like User:Phoenixauthor/Sandbox (click the red link to create the page)). That way you can sort out references and layout without the risk of the article being deleted from the main project area. Once you think it's good enough, you can copy it to the main article space. --GraemeL (talk) 23:40, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, since you said celebrity dog trainer, you might want to check out WP:PEOPLE for notability guidelines. You might fit those better than corporate ones. Also look at WP:COI and WP:AB for conflicts of interest guidelines. --GraemeL (talk) 23:45, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
why would it be inappropriate to add an external link to the sub prime mortgage crisis page or others that deal with the US bailout when the link is to a non-profit org that is a source for news about the usbailout. The link I added was http://www.usbailout.org
I'm new to this and a moderator said it was a spam link?

editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. GraemeL (talk) 22:37, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. GraemeL (talk) 22:46, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. GraemeL (talk) 22:56, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
Please stop removing legitimate links. How are you determining link legitamacy. Don't point me to spamlink guidelines. Karen Pryer and her links on this page are all commercial. There are more than 1 dog training school. Edit the reference to Clickertraining.com or leave the alternative resource alone.
- If there are other commercial links in articles that violate guidelines, then remove them. The fact that others exist is not an excuse for adding your own. --GraemeL (talk) 23:04, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.
