Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put

editYou signed up with an obviously inappopriate flag; I assumed you weren't serious. I will add you if you want to choose a less provocative flag. J Milburn (talk) 00:39, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
Welcome to the 2013 WikiCup!
editHello, Pirated windows 7 install disc, and welcome to the 2013 WikiCup! Your submissions' page is here. The competition begins at midnight UTC. The first round will last until the end of February, at which point the top 64 scorers will advance to the second round. We will be in touch at the end of every month! A few reminders:
- The rules can be found here. There have been a few changes from last year, which are listed on that page.
- Anything you submit must have been nominated and promoted in 2013, and you need to have completed significant work upon it in 2013. (The articles you review at good article reviews does not need to have been nominated in 2013, but you do need to have started the review in 2013.) We will be checking.
- If you feel that another competitor is breaking the rules or abusing the competition in some way, please let a judge know. Please do not remove entries from the submissions' pages of others yourself.
- Don't worry about calculating precisely how many points everything is worth. The bot will do that. The bot may occasionally get something wrong- let a judge know, or post on the WikiCup talk page if that happens.
- Please try to be prompt in updating submissions' pages so that they can be double-checked.
Overall, however, don't worry, and have fun. It doesn't matter if you make the odd mistake; these things happen. Questions can be asked on the WikiCup talk page. Good luck! J Milburn and The ed17 17:28, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

Request reason:
I joined Wikipedia to get involved with FPC discussions and the like, and that's what I've been doing, if you look at my contributions... I'm really sorry if you think my username is inappropriate, but I'd like to know why you think that, and if a name change is possible then I'll take it. Thanks! Do you really not see why admitting software piracy in your username is not appropriate? If you want to request a new username, which is an absolute requirement, use {{unblock-un}}. You may at the same time care to explain [1] this edit?--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 17:45, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- This block is totally premature. See WP:BITE. The username isn't an admission of piracy, and the user's edits haven't been nonconstructive. If User:Pirated windows 7 install disc was a username which breached some policy (which it doesn't AFAIK), then simply asking him/her to change username would have been the appropriate course of action. JJ Harrison (talk) 03:27, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
- That is what I say in my defence. However, apparently, I've been blocked for being a 'sockpuppet', which I'm really confused about. :/ Pirated windows 7 install disc (talk)
- JJ, thank you for your input; I personally do not agree with your comment, but the user is not prevented for making a further unblock requesnt if s/he so wishes. What do you think about the use of an Al-qaeda flagicon, as noted in the diff I highlighted? Note that I have already, above, told this user how to apply for a username change. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 17:48, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
