FirstHand Technologies

edit

Hi: I saw that you deleted the article on FirstHand Technologies. This company had done some impressive work in mobile VoIP, a fast growing space and topic. Could you restore it please? Pjbrockmann 03:34, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for being so polite. However I cannot restore the article at this time. It was deleted because it was written like spam, and Wikipedia does not allow such articles. If you would like a copy for your own records, send me an email. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 14:32, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Anti-spam techniques (e-mail)

edit

Hi Peter, I have reverted your edits to Anti-spam techniques (e-mail) again. Please see the talk page. To summarize: IMHO you push a non-neutral point of view about challenge-response spam filtering. Changing working internal links into dead links looks a bit like vandalism and makes it harder to evaluate your other edits. Erik Warmelink 12:50, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Peter, I have partially reverted some of your edits to challenge-response spam filtering. Some time ago I rewrote the first paragraph because it had a completely non-NPOV. Before I did that I did quite some investigation into C/R systems and the most important one of your edits is that you suggest that a response must always be answered by a person. This is not the case. Although non-existent to my knowledge a system as proposed by Brad Templeton [1] could automatically respond to challenges and would qualify as C/R system. Although I'm quite positive about C/R systems, I also reverted some of your edits that made too strong claims (e.g. there are spammers with valid return addresses). I thank you for some useful attributions that I kept intact that make the first paragraph a better text. OldCar 17:09, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
