I do have some advice for you though: Read all the information above. It is a lot, so take your time and read one or two a day. Well, for your "userbox" question, first, you can choose some ready-made userboxes from some of the links here, in each page your can see a list of templates (in the left) and how they will show up (in the right), for example here. Second, copy the template of the userbox you want and paste it on your user page. eg: if you copy and paste {{User:UBX/Happy}} on your user page, this is what you get: This user is happy.
