Firstpart image
editI just wondered if you had spotted the new notice about the license that someone has put on the image you recently uploaded (Image:Firstpart.jpg)? The message says the image will be speedy deleted because the image doesn't have GPL compatible license...
Also just to say I moved your 'Current State of Development' section to below the initial text introducing the concept only so readers have a better understanding of the concept before they see news of the latest project status. - CharlesC 17:36, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:All 3 axes fdmd sml.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:All 3 axes fdmd sml.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:04, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

"Robot - moving categories per WP:CFD"
editI just happened to be passing through User:Cyde's talk page and saw your question about the RepRap article, and since I'm a fan of RepRap myself I figured I might as well drop by to presumptuously answer it. :) You have nothing to worry about, all that happened was that there was a discussion over on Wikipedia:Categories for deletion that concluded that the category formerly known as "Output devices" should be renamed to "Computer output devices." The reason this was done on the scary-sounding "for deletion" page is that due to the way Wikipedia's category system works, there's no way to simply move a category like we can do with ordinary articles. Categories must instead be deleted and then recreated from scratch under the new name, moving all of the possibly hundreds of articles that were in the old category over to the new one by editing each article to change the category tag. This is a massive and tedious job, so we use bots like Cydebot to do all the grunt work like that. Bryan 02:59, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and while I'm here, do you need help getting those images you uploaded properly tagged with licencing information? If they're under the GPL then simply adding {{GPL}} to the image description pages will suffice. Though GPL is not particularly well-suited to images, so it'd be nice if they could be released under a more versatile licence - see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for a list of possible alternatives. A link to the page you got them from would also be handy to help confirm the licencing. Bryan 02:59, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Central Coast
editPlaas: You are staying in or around San Luis Obispo, I take it. My bachelors is from Cal Poly. Know the central coast real well. How familiar with Bowyer's reprap project are you? William R. Buckley 17:37, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Oshonsoftlogo.gif
editThanks for uploading Image:Oshonsoftlogo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:47, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Unspecified source for Image:ESeL_at_paraflows_IMG_9145.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:ESeL_at_paraflows_IMG_9145.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:24, 12 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 01:24, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
The article Oshonsoft has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No reliable sources or other indications of notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Beeblebrox (talk) 22:41, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
