Speedy deletion nomination of German Internet Library
editA tag has been placed on German Internet Library requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi
--Plantpiano09 (talk) 14:14, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- Lassen Sie mich sprechen Englisch. I placed the tag on the article because the page did not explain why the website was notable. It is all right if the article is a stub - ie, has very little information. But there need to be assertions on why the article deserves inclusion in Wikipedia. All that was in the article was that it is an association of libraries. Please add to the article a little about why the site is notable and support it with references. Otherwise someone else may tag it and the page could get deleted again. Danke -- Raziman T V (talk) 14:32, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- I have added {{notability}} and {{unreferenced}} tags to the article. Once you have expanded the article and given references, feel free to remove the same -- Raziman T V (talk) 14:37, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- I am sorry but I see that the page has got deleted again. I believe it would be a good idea to first create the article in your userspace as User:Plantpiano09/German Internet Library and once it is ready you could copy it onto the main namespace. Please ask any admin here for help -- Raziman T V (talk) 14:49, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- Too late, I will not start again from scratch. Wasted two hours. --Plantpiano09 (talk) 14:52, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- You don't need to start again. The admin will copy the original content of the page to your userspace and you can continue expanding -- Raziman T V (talk) 14:56, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
