File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Juliette wiki.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Juliette wiki.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 19:00, 15 October 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 19:00, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Photo permission
editHi there. Sorry I've been so late replying—I've been abroad for the last 10 days. Basically, you need to follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. It essentially involves an email from the copyright holder/photographer (with an email address clearly linked to his/her name) with the suggested text given at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries. It needs to be sent to: permissions-en@wikimedia.org. As a protection to all copyright holders and photographers, it is not sufficient for the uploader to simply claim that they have received permission from them. Wikipedia itself must have recived permission directly from them. The process is a bit complicated, so make sure you carefully read all the instructions. - Thanks. I have sent the (I hope) relevant info to John-Paul Pochin and asked him to forward an e-mail in the format demanded...hopefully that will work. Thanks for help, meanwhile I hope the photograph will not be deleted. bestPochinfan (talk) 17:14, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- Well, it might be if nothing has been received by the 22nd. But once the email has been received by Wikipedia and you have an OTRS ticket, you can always upload it again. Voceditenore (talk) 17:24, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
I hope not!....I am sure Mr Pochin will do his best...I just hope I have given him the correct instructions!....it sure is not made easy. Thanks for your support so far.Pochinfan (talk) 21:57, 18 October 2010 (UTC) Ticket number for image has been granted: https://secure.wikimedia.org/otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentTicketZoom&TicketNumber=2010101910011272 . It seems to require verification, but I am unable to do that at far as I can see. Does anyone have the appropriate authority to verify on my behalf please?Pochinfan (talk) 15:31, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- I've read the ticket and I can confirm that all is in order. Thanks for putting up with our hoop-jumping; we need to do it to verify that all our images are properly released, but I know it's quite a hassle from time to time. (ESkog)(Talk) 17:54, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
Many thanks...presumably the warning against the image will vanish in due course?. I do appreciate there are good reasons for the "hoops" :)Pochinfan (talk) 07:02, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- I've removed the warning from the article. Sorry for not doing so at the time - I didn't notice that it was there. (ESkog)(Talk) 12:13, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

User:morganpochinfan/Morgan Pochin
editI have attempted to start a page for MORGAN POCHIN...user name morganpochinfan.....any help and advice would be welcomePochinfan (talk) 09:31, 26 December 2010 (UTC) Now I have created the page for Morgan Pochin....I cannot remember how to publish it!Pochinfan (talk) 10:55, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
- There's a bit of a problem here. Did you also register a username as Morganpochinfan and then edit using that name too? That is not a good idea. See this page for why and what you should do about it. If you had wanted a draft page for the article, you should have made a subpage in this user space, e.g. User:Pochinfan/Morgan Pochin. However, I had a look at the draft. There is not enough here for an article on its own and I doubt very much if you could find enough reliable sources to support its independent notability as a company. It would almost certainly be taken to Articles for deletion. At most, it merits a separate section on its own in Juliette Pochin, but not an entire article. As it is, it is merely a repetition of the contents of Juliette Pochin. I suggest you make a separate expanded section on the company in Juliette Pochin and create a page for Morgan Pochin that redirects to that section. I can help you with that, if you are not sure how to create a re-direct page.
- Also, I took the liberty of adding a heading for your query as it was quite unrelated to the section you had added it to. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 11:25, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
- sorry I should have thought about a heading! yes, I registered a new user..innocently and not knowing the repercussions ...I am just not having much practice/luck at doing all this properly!..without you I would have failed totally!. There could be more content on the Morgan Pochin page, I just thought I would make a start. If you think it is insufficient to warrant a separate page I will happily delete it. The subsection is a nice idea , but I will most certainly need some help. I am very happy to be guided by you...ref deleting the 2nd user page and creating a proper subsection etc etc. and a link to the sub section. You are most kind. best Pochinfan (talk) 12:39, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
- OK. I've restructured Juliette Pochin to have a separate section on Morgan Pochin Music Productions. Feel free to expand it, if you have further referenced material. I've also created two redirect pages which will take the reader there: Morgan Pochin Music Productions and Morgan Pochin. As for the double account problem. A frequent and simple way of handling this is to redirect User:morganpochinfan to User:Pochinfan. Would you like me to do that for you? Best, Voceditenore (talk) 17:55, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
