I see a previous now-blocked editor, User:RAWC56 also claimed to be Curtis' assistant and had a username which might be taken as an attempt to suggest that they were Curtis himself (RWAC being Curtis' initials and 1956 being his year of birth). If you are the same person, you should request an unblock on your original account rather than creating a new one to get around the block. Caeciliusinhorto-public (talk) 10:46, 18 October 2024 (UTC)

On the evidence provided by Caeciliusinhorto-public, and your own assertion that "For 6 months now..." on an account which is just 3 months old, it's now clear that this account is a block evading sockpuppet of RAWC56 (talk · contribs). Dear All,

As i mentioned i am Richard's assistant, i am trying to make these changes on his behalf and at the request of him and his wife. I am not trying to impersonate him, i have been clear who i am. If you wish to look me up my name is Sy Brighton. His assistant before me also tried to make these changes and never had any luck. Its been an infuriating process. I guess the RAWC56 might have been set up by her if she was trying to achieve the same thing as me! It felt appropriate to change our account to a name that reflects Richard as we would only ever use it for his page. If you would like me to use my own name i would be happy to do that.

Id really love to get this sorted so his page is useful, up to date and correct ahead of him getting his Oscar in which many people might come to his page.

Apologies, I read incorrectly. Your account is two years and three months old. I'm inclined to believe your explanation. However, that just shifts the explanation to meatpuppetry, two of Curtis' personal assistants acting at his direction. The other was blocked so you were, perhaps unwittingly, acting in defiance of the block on the other meat puppet.

You need to structure an appeal, as described above, using the {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} template. Points you should bear in mind:

• Wikipedia is an encyclopedia constructed on what reliable sources say. The article is not part of Curtis' social media. His desires for the article are secondary.
• Your new username may not represent a business. You may not use the username to imply/hint/pretend that you are Curtis. You do not need to use your real name, but you've placed it all over the wiki now so it hardly matters.
• You need to reassure the reviewing administrator that you will comply with the restrictions on paid editing.

His previous assistant is on maternity leave, it isnt a conspiracy. Or 'meat puppetry' if you look online you can see who we are. Richard himself and his wife and I just want his page to be reflective of his enormous achievements and right now it isnt. The other account was blocked for exactly the same reason.
