Speedy deletion nomination of Ajitesh Shankar Yadav

edit

Hello Pratikshakankriya31,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ajitesh Shankar Yadav for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. jojo@nthony (talk) 09:50, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Surekha Yadav

edit

Hello Pratikshakankriya31,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Surekha Yadav for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. jojo@nthony (talk) 09:57, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi friend, I would suggest you to get acquainted with article creation in wikipedia. The statements you make should be supported by reliable references made inline. This is relevant even for article stubs, as the claims, unless substantiated, may result in the speedy deletion of the article. If you need any assistance, please leave a message in my talk page, I would only be glad to help in my own little way. Happy editing!! --jojo@nthony (talk) 10:36, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Surekha Yadav, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 15:21, 23 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

How to add images

edit

Pratikhakankriya31 , I just saw your post on the TeaHouse. When you want to insert an image , you do it this way [[File:Graham's_Hierarchy_of_Disagreement.svg|400px|left]] , piece by piece, this would be:

[[File: This is wikicode stating you want to insert a file:

[[File:Graham's_Hierarchy_of_Disagreement.svg is the wikicode I mentioned earlier, and the name of the image you want to insert. Taking it further:

[[File:Graham's_Hierarchy_of_Disagreement.svg|400 px , here the "|" character is a pipe which means, we're giving it more instructions, in this case 400px is the instruction, to make the image 400 pixels high, and finally:

[[File:Graham's_Hierarchy_of_Disagreement.svg|400px|left]] we add in another pipe (|) and insert the command "left" to tell the image that it needs to be on the left hand side of the page, then we close the bracket we started the wikicode with to tell it that we're done ( ]] ).

Hope this helps you out. KoshVorlon Rassekali ternii i mlechnye puti 17:42, 23 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Hirkhani Awards

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hirkhani Awards requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Hirkhani Awards has been reverted.
Your edit here to Hirkhani Awards was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://oldchipofthenewblog.blogspot.in/2010/08/l-to-r-mukesh-sharma-with-sai-paranjpye.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page.   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Both articles deleted

edit

Hi, Pratikshakankriya31. It looks like your article Hirkani Awards was deleted because it did not explain the significance of the award, and when you created Hirkani Award instead, the bot tagged Hirkani Award for copyright violation Then you recreated Hirkani Awards, with the same copyright violation, if I'm reading the timeline right. Going back and forth between slightly different titles isn't the way to fix the copyright infringement and other problems with the article. I have deleted them both. But please don't be discouraged; I think your article may potentially be interesting. Please use the Wikipedia:Articles for creation process to get some help with making it right for Wikipedia. Please tell them about the previous deletions when you do, though — it's better to be upfront about these things. And you must use your own words there too: copyright violations aren't allowed on any Wikipedia page. Good luck! Bishonen | talk 10:46, 25 December 2014 (UTC).Reply

I just noticed you have also (twice) created yet another variant title, Hirkhani Awards, after the others were deleted. You're really not going about this the right way. I have deleted that one as well (again), and protected all three plus also Hirkhani Award against creation. This means they can from now on only be created by administrators. Sorry, but we can't let you keep violating out copyright rules in this way. Copyright is very important on Wikipedia. Warning: please don't come up with any more name forms and create the article again with essentially the same content, or you may be blocked from editing. Surekha Yadav

edit

Hi! Your article is tagged for merging or deletion. I am trying to to rectify the situation. I have expanded the article here User:Nvvchar/sandbox/Sophia Duleep Singh. But there is still lot of text unreferenced such as her date of birth, her running the local ladies special train, her parents names, her children's present education etc. If you can give me the relevant references (I could not find them even after intense search) I will further improve the article and add more text (atleast 1000 more chs are required) and post it on DYK for the Women's month. If you can upload a photo that would be nice.--Nvvchar. 09:44, 3 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
